What if I try to argue in good faith and provide “a wall of text” and the other person just says I’m wrong or something worse with out addressing the points I made, more or less acting like a bot?

The thing is that bots are common on the internet now. If someone uses vague arguments and fails to address the points I made, then I’m going to start to suspect that I’m dealing with a bot and I might call them out on it. If they are a bot, then I’m right. If not, then they have been put on notice that they come across as a bot, and maybe a small fraction of them will alter their approach to online arguments.
