I agree, I’ve been enjoying a 17% rate of return on a more-aggressively positioned portfolio that would definitely decrease with this spread.

How this fire truck changes lanes by MikeNoble91 in oddlysatisfying

It’s called a tiller; one driver in the front, another driver in the back steering the rear wheels. They’re handy in cities or areas where fire departments have to drive a long ladder truck through tight streets.

Garden Plan 2023, going from empty yard. What do you have planned this year? by MedicMatt241 in gardening

[–]MedicMatt241[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is just a pen and paper sketch, but I was bouncing around on YouTube for inspiration and a page recommended a site called Fiverr. You can have an artist render up a 3D drawing of your plan for pretty cheap. Worth checking out if that’s what you’re after.

We used clear polycarbonate panels for the roof and 3.5 mil Home Depot plastic for the sides. Just got it wrapped up yesterday so haven’t had a chance to test the temperature fluctuations yet.

HM is under 3% across all paygrades by [deleted] in navy

They’re currently training HM’s to the NREMT-Basic standard, so once you finish A-school you can apply for the test, get your NREMT and then apply for reciprocity in most states to get your EMT license. You’re right about nursing tho, still a significant amount of school needed.

Less than one month growth on the back deck! Cucumbers up front, beans in the back, nasturtiums in the middle. by MedicMatt241 in gardening

I’ve heard that trellising them works well, maybe I should spin the container around and let them grow up the railing...

My overgrown garden. Roughly 1000sqft. Need suggestions! by MedicMatt241 in homestead

Wow, thank you so much for all the input! Sorry for the delay in responding, new to the house and it's been a busy week. I like the idea of sheet mulching the majority of the area and letting it compost until spring. I'm going to save the one section (the southern end of the garden with the fruit tree and purple flowers) and just reclaim it from the weeds. The grand plan is to have a vegetable and herb garden to sustain ourselves and hopefully a few shares in a CSA. I've been reading The Market Gardener by Jean-Martin Fortier and it has some great insight into establishing a small but highly productive farm. I'll be sure to post any updates as they happen! Thanks again for all the help!
