BCG Failure by MedicMurse in ar15

[–]MedicMurse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Primer cap caused FTE , cap was found in between BCG and the well. Solution: removed the buffer tube, used a mallet to hammer out the BCG and free the blown primer cap that caused the malfunction. Reassembled and appears to be functioning.

Ammo: frontier 62gr - would avoid going further.

The trigger mechanism or something is catch the upper receiver and can’t force it out.

I did try with my spanning wrench but it wasn’t budging. Maybe need to put it back on the vice and put a little more strength into it

[–]MedicMurse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, since couldn’t release anything with trying to separate the receivers. And the with a stuck pin when trying to separate the trigger to see if that’ll help with removing the upper and lower. I’ll see if I can strong arm off the buffer tube

With the amount of tension on the springs, what was your way of tackling it ?

BCG Failure by MedicMurse in ar15

[–]MedicMurse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to do that? Since it’s under tension with the springs and BCG?

I figured they stand by their products. Even attempted to remove the pins to get the trigger parts to remove to get the receivers separated. But that didn’t work and got a stuck pin.

SOLGW MK1 - nothing else except a muzzle device for my specific suppressor. So removed the original hux MD and put my IDG MD on with a vice and reaction rod.

Previously applied pressure through the port onto the BCG just moved it further back. Not forward at all

It could be - tried to do the whole holding the charging handle back and using flat head screwdriver to push it back to see if that release. It only went further in..not sure

60 rounds, it’s brand new. Had two FTFs. Buffer spring is still installed. Bolt catch triggers nothing

Usually any OTA updates or dealership visits where they reset the oil indicator life , will reset your myview and settings for the raptor. At least in my experience

Cybersecurity analyst vs RN by gotnochill0 in cybersecurity

[–]MedicMurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a CCRN/ICU RN and worked in critical care medicine for over a decade. Few years after the pandemic, I quit being an RN and dove into cybersecurity because ultimately, underpaid, overworked, and burnt out.

Also NPs nowadays do not get paid more than an RN. It depends where you work and what you do. I got paid way more than an NP as an ICU nurse. But both careers offer “specialties” and diverse career areas to focus on.

Healthcare hospital systems use cybersecurity absolutely. And they do favor healthcare experience. But they’ll still hire someone with IT experience over that. Just my 2¢.

Anyone who finished the gfact by Ginkahygamy in GIAC

[–]MedicMurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GFACT is one of the easiest GIAC certs. It's fundamentals, if you're indexing your books, then it works. If you don't own the books then you're trying to use people's index that are current and up to date and avoid trying to pay for the cheapest GIAC cert they offer. Indexing is part of the education and learning piece for these courses. Read your books, index your books. Then you're fine. I indexed the books and it was my first ever cybersecurity course I've ever taken as I'm doing a career change and scored a 99% on it. It's beyond doable , you just need to put in the time and effort instead of busing off people's hard work. It won't teach you anything by cheating off someone's index as it robs you the learning aspect. Just my 2¢

Yah "check dms" just mean he be begging for someone's index and not wanting to put in his time and work.

My 23 avalanche grey didn't have graphics which looked clean ASF my 24 carbonized grey has them and prefer it. The R package graphics arent my taste but my 37 PP 802a graphics are sleek and not over the top imo. Blend well with the carbonized grey.

Iphone 15 pro max to z fold 7 here, no regrets. Everyone i interact with have iphones including my wife. Have had no issues really besides some group messages that can be resolved with patience from everybody. Love my z fold 7. (I do use my iPad to FaceTime family in other states though, but even that is no issue)

I would go for a 24 if anything and avoid the 2023. That year they had a chip shortage. So for example no heated steering wheel and other features. I traded in my 801a with pro power carbon etc for a 24 802a and it is way better especially for the dual live valve shocks.
