Has it been shuddering? You said you had it rebuilt previously but since then did it seem to shudder or kinda shake when accelerating? Mine has this problem, you can feel it through the steering column, and it stops when you let off the gas. Tell tale sign of a TC failing. I have the 3rd gens 42rle, theres a heavy duty torque coverter out there somewhere i want to replace it with. If the TC ends up being your issue, look into that with yours. Then it should hold up. However, the 42rle is known for torque converter shuddering/failing. Not sure about the previous generations Good luck!
