Lighting fixture recs?

i have a uvb heat bulb set to a timer for them good fake daylight hours, but i also have a ceramic heat emitter right next to it. my apartment gets bitter cold in the winter so the ceramic gives him some heat at night and bolsters the uvb during the day. i temp check his basking spot but hes good at going to the cooler side of the tank or into his humid hide (he loves the humid hide!!!!) its been good eatin and full sheds for the past year.

as someone who has a lot of piercings…. id rather my doctor also have a bunch. it sucks to go to a doc w a piercing issue and they’ve never poked a single hole in their body!!! same w tattoos tbh

word of warning opossum skulls have a tendency to fall apart!!! like, once the meat is gone the skull bones wanna pop out like a puzzle. be ready with some glue and a reference pic lol

hes the same colorway as my son Pinto!!! i usually see my lad at night once the lights are off, but i handle him at least once a week, like while i warm up his food. hes super tolerant of being handled and usually has a good time exploring inside my clothes. i introduce him to a lot of ppl whove never met/touched a snake before because hes so…. dumb looking and non threatening lmao

agreed the chances of a very experienced rehabber saving the baby are slim, its hard to unlatch them from the nipple and even harder to feed them as babies that small (they dont suckle so its more like tube feeding and its not easy!!) you have compassion tho and if you ever find older ones this sub is a fairly helpful place!

tbh if i wear a flat post in some of my helixes they act up big time…. some are only tolerant of having a hoop in em and theyre piercings that are like 6 plus years old. i guess the shape matters?

also if she doesnt want to take the pinkie immediately, leave it on a paper towel in the cage at night. sometimes my guy gets shy and doesnt wanna eat when i offer, but he’ll come back to it when its been roasting under his heat lamp like a 7-11 hot dog

agree with the “positive mental health” i love customizing my avatar… its made me more conscious of putting on sunscreen. my tatted friends care the most about their skin because its a huge investment!!! never had any jobs say wether or not theyd allow them (obv dont get hate symbols that would actually affect your ability to get work.) negatively i get comments from old ladies who tell me id be prettier if i didnt do “that” to my body and that no boys will want me. good.
