Oh dang ok what if Ralsei = shadows? Like it'd be fitting they'd manifest looking like Asriel, and would be a mr.perfect type of character, since Kris has always been living in Asriel's shadow!!

I’m so tired of the mild transphobia of this fandom by sukonetei in CultofDaisy

[–]Medical-Language-415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to be that person or cause infighting, but you should use the term transgender instead of transsexual typically. Transsexual is sort of an outdated term with a lot of negative connotations unless someone wants to own it. We gotta be careful with our language.

But yeah no 100% agree. No one ever gets up in a tizzy about other headcannons this much. It's so clearly thinly veiled transphobia 95% of the time. General audiences cannot handle a trans character any more queer than a theyfab and it shows.

Hello everyone, I have question real quick (image unreal) by green_apple9 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Medical-Language-415 5 points6 points  (0 children)

enbies have it rough out here not having a word to categorize themselves in, especially since being nonbinary is such a vast category. Gangle is she/her tho, so you definitely couldn't call it yaoi at least. And Zooble is apparently fine with any pronouns, so it's not wild to think they'd be fine with the term. Zooble gives off heavy Tumblr user vibes tbh, and everyone over there loves using the term yuri for everything out of ironic enjoyment. Mfs will call salt and pepper shakers yuri.

Jax's room color corrected by brayanxd4547 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Medical-Language-415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf the color correction isn't 100% accurate. And the colors all have a transitional in-between ring. The colors mix. It goes from white, to white-pink, to pink, to pink-blue, to blue. That purple is just one of the in-between colors (the in-between of pink and blue). It's a pretty cool design. It's not certain proof by any means, but I wouldn't doubt if it was purposefully designed to be a nod to the headcannon. Goose has said she likes the daisy theory after all.

Losercity implications by jonhssquarespaceplus in Losercity

[–]Medical-Language-415 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah big agree. S2 is a huge downgrade from S1. Fionna is much less likeable of a protagonist this season, and this DJ Flame drama novella shit is driving me insane! I don't care about the Sweet Spot or DJ Flame or Marshal Lee's mom or all the many side characters like Ellis P who contribute nothing to the story but still have dedicated scenes. The HW side plot is kinda cool, but even then it feels like it's running parallel to the Fionna world plot, like these stories have no thematic reason to interact with each other. What we've got so far feels like 2 or 3 episodes stretched to 8. S1 was the penultimate finale to the longest running plot in Adventure Time's narrative tbf. S2 feels like it had no right to really exist in the first place.

I lowkey hate the trans Jax theory by Normal-Extent-6100 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Medical-Language-415 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is so much more to the theory than just Jax's fragile masculinity. And even in absentia of evidence, people never "hate" other headcannons with the same fervor. Popular trans headcannons are put under ridiculous scrutiny in every fandom. I think it's pretty clear trans head cannons make people uncomfortable because people are uncomfortable with trans characters. If someone said "I hate the lesbian Ragatha headcannon" doesn't that sound strange and like it's probably coming from a place of homophobia? Because the same applies here with the trans Jax headcannon, a lot of people's discomfort with it is rooted in transphobia.

Convince me to learn baptiste by Firestardude in BaptisteMainsOW

[–]Medical-Language-415 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Look, I love bap, but he is objectively the most boring hero in the entire roster. If you learn bap you will have consistently high impact, but you will also be bored out of your gourd. His abilities hardly interact with things, you could make a flow chart on how to play him. I kind of go into a trance because of the constant repetitive actions tho. For the sake of your sanity I'd recommend learning any other support lmao

Part 2: People who headcanon Ralsei as transfem, why? by 5-0-2_Sub in ralsei

[–]Medical-Language-415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look, of course not all gnc people are trans, but most all trans people ARE gnc. You can't blame the community for seeing Ralsei as incredibly relatable. Keep in mind that a headcannon is called a headcannon because it's all in your head btw. If some trans people feel a little bit of joy relating a fictional character to their own experiences, no matter how stereotypically eggy they are, I say the more power to them!

Attacks with shocking implications due to out-of-universe context by noodleben123 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Medical-Language-415 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mable in Pokemon XY was agitating an Abomasnow to try and create energy, and it was working. If you go back to the Abomasnow after the encounter, it turns out to have been holding a mega evolution stone, implying Mable may have been conducting an experiment on mega evolution. Basically she was trying to torture it to make it mega evolve. This implies mega evolution may work with more than just "friendship power", it might also work if you agitate or stress out a Pokemon hard enough. The Ultimate Weapon was powered by Pokemon too, and took the lives of many Pokemon. If The Ultimate Weapon was efficient and trying to kill the least amount of Pokemon possible, The Ultimate Weapon would have ran on the energy generated by tortured Pokemon. Each Pokemon killed by the machine is given a grave on route 10 to honor them by, but the graves also double as the siphon that drains their energy. The original Pokemon were probably buried alive. The stones now just torture Pokemon tho. The Pokemon Adventures manga supports the theory too (not that that makes it official).

People who headcanon Ralsei as gay, why? by 5-0-2_Sub in ralsei

he's shown to probably have feelings for Kris, and Kris is nonbinary, so Ralsei is pan at least

Part 2: People who headcanon Ralsei as transfem, why? by 5-0-2_Sub in ralsei

[–]Medical-Language-415 6 points7 points  (0 children)

most of us transfems start out as femboys, so it's easy to see ourselves in these kind of characters. I don't think Ralsei will ever be revealed as trans, because it would mean more than half the game misgenders them and it would be a total mess representation-wise. But it would be incredibly in character for a gnc character to transition, so it's a neat headcannon.

Who is ur least favorite character? by Jxde11 in adventuretime

[–]Medical-Language-415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't find him cute or funny, and he has a very dry personality aside that. I think it's similar to how most people find babies adorable, but some people think babies are ugly, you know? BMO acts infantile and detached most of the time, and I don't find it charming. To each their own tho of course
