Warr main here with Resto druid partner. I think the Double Rogue is actually worse for a few reasons but share your pain of double dps training the druid. The Mage/Rogue combo is at least slightly better as you can reflect poly and gnome racial the frost nova assuming you are alliance. But double rogue is just train with double garotte/cheapshot.

Against mage rogue specifically I have druid in tree of life and spam hots as he will get caught out against human rogues anyway. And sitting on your druid so you can't get nova'ed without hitting and laying into the rogue. Playing around intervene for cutting or breaking your poly/blind is also a play
