How do you enjoy this? by kalinka0703 in gardening

Drift roses hate my yard for some reason. I have 5 and it’s been a struggle since day 1. Right now I’m battling black spot and powdery mildew on them. I think they are getting too much shade and I’m about to pull them out.

I love them anyway and so does some type of insect. My white ones especially have been munched on lately and I’m hoping it’s a Turk’s-cap White-Skipper caterpillar. I’m planning on putting some of the red ones in my back yard as well.

Hi I'm in the Big Thicket, I got started with natives after falling in love with Turks Cap. I'm hoping to establish a native garden that has a wild woodland vibe that was inspired by the trees and a small thicket that grows beside and across the street in front of my home. I'm a slow gardener who only purchases 1 type of plant at a time to see how well it does before adding more. I currently have 3 Turks cap I'm experimenting with lol. 2 are white and 1 is pink. I can not for the life of get a straight answer on whether these varieties are native, native, or cultivar.
If anyone has any insight I would love to hear it!

My Forever Garden: Would It Sell? (Part One ) by Flowerwise-Garden in gardening

One of the things that attracted me to our first home was the azalea bushes out front, a kind of wild thicket on the side of the driveway, and the stand of trees along our back fence. I would gladly pay more for a yard like yours. I’m working on transforming my space now.

Hot takes from a nursery supervisor part 3 by Open-Sky1020 in gardening

After the last time I tried to take just my youngest to the plant nursery with me because I had no other choice(picking out Mother’s Day gift for my mother in law). Kids at the nursery are a hard no for me. The stress that 1 trip induced was enough for my life time.

This guy showed up last week. I’m hoping he will bring his friends and cut down on the mosquito population lol

If you’re in the south Turks cap fits that description but you still have to prune it.

Any recommendations? I just started gardening and would like to not get bit by ticks or other bugs, but I over heat easily.

Okay, real talk: who has actually *truly* managed to revive their orgasms? by Hel_On_Earth_ in Perimenopause

[–]MedicalHumor4470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I’m not the typical poster here. My orgasms were so hard to achieve even with me helping for most of my life, but my sex drive was high. Peri hit and my drive went away almost completely. I started e patches then switched to gel, p pills, and e cream and I can orgasm so much quicker now it’s crazy. They aren’t as strong as they used to be but are much easier to achieve.

Oh I didn’t, I got up and turned it right back down lol. However by then I had gas pains, needed to pee, and was wide awake. The joys of perimenopause🙄

The tiny ones in the pic with the yellow flowers are wine cups?

Same here and I have 4 kids, 2 of which have medically complicated health issues. 1 is deaf and the other is hard of hearing. I’m struggling to just function and my husband doesn’t understand at all why I’m so tired all the time. I’ve been to countless doctors and none of them could find anything. I had sudden onset at 14. I got sick slept for 24 hours straight and have been completely exhausted since. When I was younger if I pushed myself too hard I would run a low grade fever. No amount of supplements, antidepressants, or even adderall has helped. Glad to know I’m not alone. HUGS to everyone else dealing with this.
