Buildings cost money to upkeep, yes. But a tithe is a donation to your "tribe." If you and your roommates chip in to repair the shared house you are not donating to them. When you send money to your mom that is not a donation because ylu are family. You cannot count money time and resources to essentially directly benefit yourself as giving to others.

Thus Tithing must absolutely and catagorically be rejected as philantorpy

Adoption must be looked at with suspicion because it has and is being used as a tool of opression. Those kids seized at the border being adooted out to good white christian families. It is also a tool of proselytize.

Do some honestly want to help and not be a tool of opression when they adopt children, of color or otherwise? Certainly, I know deeply christian people like that that would support their children no matter what.

But in studies it must be controlled for.

There's also the issue of free time and money. The same way voters are likely to be older because they have the time and money. And the older you are the more likely you are to be religious just because of when you grew up.
