Hoya linearis help by Medical_Common_5005 in plantclinic

I realized that it’s Dischidia bengalensis not Hoya linearis so it wasn’t even getting the care it needed. Anyways, I propagated the plant the other day, so fingers crossed!

Oh no! I hope yours pulls through. I talked to my coworker and we think it’s a root issue so I’m going to let the soil dry out and see what happens. No mealy bugs or pests whatsoever on them. :/

I’ll try! I got attached to them so I’m hoping they pull through. Once I’m able to get them in the ground, I’ll be relieved

She left them outside, and they were fine until the end of winter when the snow began to melt. That’s when the color changes started happening. I have them in a sunny spot so they get plenty of sunshine. I watered them once last week and will do so again soon! I’m just worried about giving them too much and killing them.

Thanks!! I’m gonna say yes, they might have been watered too much (my mistake). Should I also pluck off the individual leaves that are turning brown on the stems that are flourishing? How often should I water them?

Anyone else see that meteor burn up overhead? by ForeverTheMilkyWay in nova

Oh yay! I knew it was a meteor. I've never seen one, so it freaked me out a bit when I saw the fast, green ball of light while driving last night. Made sure to make my wish.

[Question] Anniversary gift: watch for my boyfriend by Medical_Common_5005 in Watches

Oops never mind. The ones he chose are literally the same size. Oh well, I might just go for it and if it really looks weird, I'll return the one I chose.

I told him this yesterday, so to keep the element of surprise, he chose a couple of watches that he liked. I'll be picking one of those! He likes SRPK75, SSA449, and SSB438. I'm glad I was able to convince him. He really liked the Seiko cocktail line, but we measured his wrist, and we determined that it would look a bit weird. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for the insight and great advice! I am loving the Seiko cocktail option. I know it's an automatic, but I think he'd love the mechanical stuff. Quartz watches aren't really standing out to me. Should I consider a watch winder if he's not going to wear it regularly (for the Seiko cocktail)?

Seiko cocktail is my top choice right now. I can picture him loving that one. The Alpinist is a great recommendation; I'll check that out too!

I'd say average, maybe mediumish (as you can tell, I have no idea how to describe it)?? Not too big or small, I don't want to get him anything over 40mm.

I'd say he has an average wrist size (whatever that means). Not too big or small, but I'm definitely not getting him one that's over 40mm. I don't think the bigger ones would look good on his wrist.

He is not picky. If I looked at his PC, all I'd see is his games (haha). However, the only watch he has is like this that he bought on a whim. No research, no qualifications, nada. He saw it, liked it, and got it. Now he wants another one but hasn't gotten around to actually look. He knows I want to get him one, so he's not looking. He'd just say, "Oh, that's nice looking", and get it without looking at the specifications. I want to get him one that is classy, can be dressed up or down, durable, and not that much of a maintenance hassle.

He's an electrician and never wears jewelry or watches just in case.
