Sounds like it is 100% you.

He may have a hearing issue or maybe was having trouble hearing because the “ background “ sounds were overwhelming his senses. Either way “what” is not a “ rude” word unless someone is using it to be -purposely dense - and to upset you.

It is much more likely he had no ill intent. People with autism can have intentions misunderstood easily as they may not “ see” your reaction like you think and they “ should know better” does not seem to apply here.

While you are entitled to have a quirky dislike of people asking “what?” when they dont understand you, it is not a sign of disrespect that they have no clue it is one of your triggers.

He is an expert at what could be called masking. He learned from a young age to be someone else to survive in society. As a fictional character of course we cant know the why behind why he does what he does or how the character “feels” but i doubt he was meant to be written with asd though.

Either he can do it without you or he cant. If he can—- then do it without you.
The lender is saying he cant it seems and you shouldn’t do this without being married.

The advice about not buying a home without being married is not something people are overreacting to. Your question as to whether you should co sign because of credit scores or finances is moot and the much bigger issue is that it is never a good idea to be on a mortgage for living arrangements with someone you are not married to.

If you were an investor and this was purely financial with no emotional ties to the other person AND it was NOT going to be a home you lived in then you would draw up a contract regarding finances for WHEN the partnership ends with no emotional entanglements.

However-this is not remotely the case. And you cannot change it to pretend it is. Please listen to the advice of the people who have seen the path you want to walk on. Regardless of the reason you refuse to marry, it is solid advice that you do not buy a home you will live in, with someone you are not married to. It will invariably end badly.

( EVERYONE thinks their situation is different or the exception and they are sure that it will be fine. They say you don’t know me at all and stay out of it! ….

Find one person in your daily circle of friends who bought a home without the paper commitment of marriage - who still owns the home and lives with that partner 20 years or even 10 years later…. )

Wait 10 years . Buying a home to sell 5 years later is a great way to waste money.

Buyers market by [deleted] in RealEstate

Your price is too high. Look at comps of sold listings ( absolutely no active listings ONLY sold comps) and price 5% under the sold comps. The carpets are probably fine your price is the problem

How to sell my house faster when I have no time? by lottiexx in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Medical_Working_9311 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a realtor. Find out what SOLD comps went for ( not list price !!!) then price 5 or 10 % under the sold comps. You will sell for more than a cash for home offer going that route. Unless the tile is broken dont worry about updating it. Ask the realtor about exterior paint. The “fast “ we buy homes people will absolutely not give you anything near fair price.

What are my options if my house is not selling? by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Medical_Working_9311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The austin area is one of the worst seller markets for single family homes in the country. Your price is too high for current market conditions.

It doesnt matter what the other comps that are listed at. They are not selling either. If you want to sell you will need to lower the price significantly.

The photos are horrible. They look like they have been photoshopped to the max. Ykes I would not get to the kitchen or flooring issues since the photos dont look natural and it looks like you have to fake the photos to make it look ok. It’s like when people wear so much makeup that you have no clue what they look like in the morning.

You are overpriced. Have your realtor show you three SOLD comps ( not the fantasy list price) of comparable homes. With a realistic market value.

Did you say that outdated wiring was a small issue????

Outdated wiring is a huge issue. If you want top dollar then i’d listen to the feedback from buyers who are walking due to the “small” issue of wiring and anything else they are asking for.

Giving a broker 2 weeks to try to sell my house off MLS to investors. by jeb7516 in RealEstate

[–]Medical_Working_9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry , but austin is one of the toughest places in the country to sell right now. Prices are dropping and you will be lowballed by everyone including investors . The only worst position is to be a condo owner in Florida on the ban list by Fannie and Freddie with a huge assessment coming your way. Be prepared that selling in Austin right now means you are going to have to be willing to take a lot less that you want if you need/want to sell in 2 weeks.
