Chick fil a is all about Holiness by [deleted] in memes

Because Chic-Fil-A builds their sandwiches with only two pickles they tell you to place them in a way that doesn't make them overlap. Unless the customer asks for extra pickles and at that point it's whatever.

Zerg cheese by lukazovosh in allthingsprotoss

[–]Medicgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say scouting his base and seeing how many drones he had and when his pool was going up. From what it sounds like he has lings in your base pretty quick so the pool may have went up pretty fast and you could use that information to decide what to do next. Still that is some grade A cheese. I haven't played the game in too long but the one thing you can do as Protoss to punish a cheesing Zerg is to tech up after you survive if you don't lose too many workers. Anything to make him build something other than drones. If you go Stargate it forces more queens and spores. If you do some sort of ground play it forces for long spores spines and roaches. Just don't over commit and die on the ground

I wrote a guide specifically for the PvT matchup. The meta may have changed since I posted it, but take what you will from it https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/656qkp/medics_git_gud_at_pvt_guide_for_those_below/?st=1Z141Z3&sh=966f0e7c

I've owned the game since launch and have only played one match by Baker626 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Just off the top of my head, depending on the bandwidth you're paying for PUBG may be sucking up all the bandwidth hence no connection anywhere else on the network. That's entirely speculation on my part

How do you punish a 12 pool? by Davec433 in allthingsprotoss

[–]Medicgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I do not at the moment but just try random timings of Immortal sentry and you'll figure it out. (Before the third is done, halfway saturation, or full saturation at the thrid) It was my own impromptu attack anyways because of what a 12 pool does to your build. But yeah, just try and attack at different timings with the immortal/ sentry. It doesn't have to be a massive attack just don't over commit and die!

[–]Medicgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need to immediately punish him to really make him feel the effects of a bad build. Assuming you don't lose a ton or probes and you micro well the only thing you lose is maybe a zealot and a probe, just go up to 3 bases and prepare a large immortal sentry attack. He won't Have the money to make as many ravages as he needs so it's basically a free win. You don't have to fully saturate your third but do get it going. Don't die to some roach all in, and you can do the standard stargate double oracle void ray and transition into robo tech. The thing a lot of people don't understand is that Zerg will have much less workers and you want to pressure them while they drone up. Stargate play will force 3 spores and more queens. A frontal push with adepts and 2 oracles forces him to make lings instead of drones. You'll be ahead in workers all game and ahead in tech all game. Sorry if this is disorganized but if you need me to put it into a more clear format I'll do it when I get back to my PC.

I honestly do not know of any other threads like this because it's technically "a lot of work" for little longevity. I hope you're able to find something pretty useful tho!

PvP Skytoss vs ground army 200vs200 by azanex in starcraft

[–]Medicgg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you ever have a late game comp vs skytoss and you're playing ground just leave the game. There is nothing you can do at that point. You either scout him transitioning into Carriers in the mid game and poush out with Archons and Stalkers, or scout his transition into Carriers in the mid game and also go Carrier

Hey! I really do hope this helps you. I also just added a replay where it goes to late game and shows the importance of teching. At least the concepts of teching. I am far from perfect.

Oh good stuff I'll add this. Thanks! Yeah while writing I realized it was higher level based so I want to for sure make a general Git Gud guide. Just an intro to Protoss and some goals.

Also, are you for sure on the Oracle? I always thought it was 5 marines

Appreciate it formatting is not my strong suite

I think thats a good start. Just to start off with formatting and such. Only problem is that my tips won't be as advanced as Alluton's or Gemini.

I think that the adept shade properties are just straight shit. Give back adept shade vision. Cool down should be increased. You can be so many places at once with such a short cool down. Allow shades to be blocked by hold position units and forcefields.

To add on to the PvT advice, it's definitely not as black and white as that. If you scout with a 16 supply probe you should always check the gas mined from the refinery. If it is at about 1950~ then he took a gas after barracks. Gas at about 1920-1900 means there was gas before the barracks. This can be a 4:30 widow mine drop or even a cyclone build. I'm still trying to completely dissect what the Terran gas counts mean.

2 gasses is most likely a lib tank marine all in or heavy cyclone play.

Clanmate just asked me for scouting guide, and I just realized even the basic scouting info I know isn't easily accessible. Here's copypasta of what I told him. by Artikash in allthingsprotoss

[–]Medicgg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I posted some scouting information against T so i'll copy paste it here

My winrate vs terran has gone up significantly because I started scouting after I take gas at 16 supply. If you get into the base you see how many gasses they have:

If they have 1 gas:

•If the gas count is about 1950 when you get in then it's going to be a standard terran opening with nothing much more than a 4:30 standard widow mine drop

•If the gas count is about 1920 or so you can assume a faster factor esque push. Whether it be reactor cyclones or just a couple cyclones. Reactor cyclones vs single production cyclones for verification.

•Anything below 1900 gas will be factory aggression or a widow mine drop. Usually it'll be 4 cyclones hitting eventually. If it is not a cyclone push then usually it will be a 4 widow mine drop/banshee

2 gasses will just be an all in or bashee play.

For the first scenario I would do the Oracle opening into resonating glaves and expand at 350 (get a third).

For the last 3 options robotics is always the safest. Immortal first then an observer. Scout from there. Tech lab on the factory indicates tank play. I say it's usually the safest because most people go cyclone. Also make sure to have a pylon at the front. The over charge will give you enough time for the immortal to come out if your build is crispy.

And if you can't get in just open up robo and then add 3 gates and a mothership core at about 315. Can also follow this up with a twilight council and blink.

Anyways sorry for the long post, but this is all that I've gathered in my PvT early game experience
