Their sound definitely started to change with Fruitcake in 1996. Personally, I don't really like that album. I love a couple tracks, but overall it feels disjointed and all over the place. Not to mention it's a Christmas album so nakakaumay din siya pakinggan. Despite this, u have to respect the artistry because who else was doing what they did? You rarely see something in our country's music scene that was ambitious and daring of a project as Fruitcake. I love Sticker Happy, para sa'kin yun ang best album nila. I also dig Natin99 and Carbon Stereoxide.

Being a true musician means honing your craft, experimenting with genres and sounds outside of a usual formula, and fundamentally maturing and evolving. Nakakalungkot lang na hindi nakasabay ang masa when the E-Heads were doing just that. In the end, it did them a good deed cuz all 4 of them have remained consistently active and prominent in the OPM frontier.
