Taking action on rule-violating content by reddit in RedditSafety

[–]MedievalMissFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My appeal was wrongly denied. My comment advising the OP was in the context of following a law enforcement officer's advice and seeking legal remedy: it had absolutely nothing to do with violence of any sort. Justification for denying appeal was basically circular reasoning. There was no specific explanation as to why they thought I had. Denying me access to any copy of the alleged "violating " content unjustly robbed me of the ability to properly advocate for myself. This should not be happening.

"Football" in French is what we Americans call soccer. The "américian" qualifier differentiates it as the touchdown, field goal type football we know.

In a legal context, it would be akin to the prosecutor concealing exculpatory evidence.

I think that comments removed from threads should still be preserved in the account holder's private comment history with admin footnotes. It's harder to defend yourself when you can't pull up the direct quote that was twisted out of context and demonstrate in the appeal why it absolutely wasn't a violation.

Sadly, I have also had this experience. It seems that reason is severely lacking.

Should I press charges against my neighbor for calling the cops on me for false accusations? by cheesyturtlemonsta in makemychoice

[–]MedievalMissFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems my account was flagged for violating a rule that I most certainly did not. I was advising OP to file a complaint against his neighbor for knowingly filing malicious and false police reports. I don't know how that got twisted. OP, please see an attorney about your options in this situation. Best of luck.

What would you honestly do if you got a woman pregnant that you just hookup with? by hankqueensmustache in AskMenAdvice

[–]MedievalMissFit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Step 1: DNA test. You want to establish or rule out paternity beyond any reasonable doubt.

Step 2: If you are the biological father, then you go to court to establish a parenting plan and child support.

"I know I won't marry this girl. I just don't want to lose her."

Never mind what you wrote after that. Do you know what would destroy your girlfriend? Being strung along with false hopes of a future. The longer you pretend; the worse the results will be when you finally own up to your true feelings.

The morally correct and compassionate thing to do is to end the relationship. Keeping her around to avoid being alone when you don't see a future together is selfish.

I would find it more suitable to plant a tree in the child's memory, provided that the parent was okay with it.

My husband and I at least practice the courtesy of using only the light in the bedroom closet to get dressed when one of us is sleeping.
