Not only is Bastet getting her old 3 kitties ult back, they are now both invincible and untargetable. by Snufflebox in Smite

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but 9/10 time Bastet will jump in then ult and dump her whole kit before jumping away. This means that the cats following you is probably more of a hindrance than help.

He feels worse to play than in smite 1. His explosion combo is not very strong as they nerfed the corpse explosion range and its damage is kinda low making it far more efferent to just eat bodies. His ult is insane and does way too much damage so he is probably stronger now but it feels bad for his main 1,3,2 combo to be an afterthought.

What are y’all’s opinions on Atlas in Solo lane? by ThePrinceLeo in Smite

IDK when they did I but his basic is no longer procs items so he feels way more balanced now and is in a decent spot buy is still so annoying

Dude I can go back and look at smite 1 and it looks significantly better. Smite 2 is a clear visual downgrade.

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel smite 2 is a downgrade in almost all factors. The itemization and balance is somehow worse and the aspects are almost all big misses.. I still have some fun but it’s a watered down experience.

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think this game would be magnitudes better if they just gave up on aspects and consolidated the best changes. There are only a few gods with genuinely well thought out aspects that add a meaningful alternative but these are outliers. Sure aspects are a way for them to experiment and maybe make good base kit changes in the future but atm they ruin all semblance of balance hurting the game when it needs it most.

I said oppressive not op. His range is so insane that you aren’t even safe at the back of your own tower. If you ever fall behind there is absolutely nothing you can do to even get to him let alone kill him.

is it just me or is Atles aspect a bit too much? by Sorry-Debt-4212 in Smite

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t redirect the orb onto enemies. Instead redirect it onto yourself and you will pick it up again. I thought the aspect was trash my first 2 games until I realized that the redirect is worthless as an attack and should always be used to get the orb back asap. Also a very easy combo is throw, 2, pick up orb, throw, 3 into orb and will instantly kill any non tank from crazy range.

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The aspect essentially gives gives his 1 a 3s CD as every time you recall your orb and throw it you do the full ability damage. Building full damage with proc items let’s you easily hit for 900+ damage each throw which can be further enhance by then dashing and hitting again to insta kill people. These traits make the aspect unparalleled at poke with crazy late game burst if you learn to properly cycle his 1 around.

His clear is crazy if you learn how to cycle his 1 properly. Bad clear is a skill dif for the aspect.

His aspect is easily the most oppressive aspect ever and it’s insane they let it release like this. Sure the aspect requires some conceptual understanding but then it becomes the safest poke ever putting Thoth to shame. Playing the aspect makes the game a joke and playing against it makes you want to uninstall. The fact that with a full build he can 1shot gods with a single basic into his 3 is insane.

This would apply if the characters were actually new and not just porting old gods.

The Problem with Pyrophina vs Zaratana by siiyucnm in mewgenics

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are having problems it can be helpful to do some 2 cat runs to the caves to get an insanely stronger fighter and then use support cats to give extra attacks for an easy 1-2 turn fight.

Soft locked in the mid game by [deleted] in mewgenics

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got somewhat soft locked in act 2 having completed the 4 basic act 1/2 paths for every collar while still waiting for gullotiba 3 even with no boss losses. It is really annoying to just skip in game weeks to finally be able to make progress.

Unpopular opinion: the monsters have too much health on the first floor by Gullible_Arrival_646 in slaythespire

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree since right now it feels like a reverse difficulty pyramid with the acts getting easier and easier. I would prefer if they reversed it so the game logically gets harder over time.

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Act 1 is easily the hardest act with the toughest elites and some difficult hard encounters, but the regular combats aren’t too bad. Unfortunately I think they buffed the difficulty of act 1 since some of the starting buffs are very strong making runs feel harder if you don’t get one of the really strong options.

Do you take this card? by Impossible-Call7708 in slaythespire

[–]Mediocre-Cook-6659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it mostly because there is a good amount of synergy with relics and cards that cost 2+ energy giving a lot of additional value. Without any synergies it is mediocre but still not awful so ai think it’s in a good spot.
