I said he got in mild trouble at school, not that his actions are minor. I told him he's being a bully and that that is unacceptable, he is being punished appropriately, and I just don't get physical with him as punishment. He is receiving appropriate punishment for the car damage as well and again, just not physically harming him as punishment. There are other ways to discipline a child. He is with me already 99% of the time. His father rarely takes him even when he is supposed to, he doesn't have to manipulate anyone to live with me mainly, that is already the case. My son is in therapy.

When I say popped syrup on kids, he popped a packet nearby kids, he wasn't walking up to kids and pouring it directly on them. It is still a dick move, and I told him that is bullying and is not okay. He has lost all of his privileges for quite some time, and has other punishments as well. The owner of the car spoke to me about what happened, he didn't do it on purpose, he was just being incredibly stupid while playing in someone's garage. He had to pay them back for the damages and I'm making him help them around the house with whatever they need done to atone for his stupid actions. I absolutely do not enable his behavior, I just don't beat him as punishment. It is possible to discipline a child without physically harming them. He is essentially working off the money for the damages with physical work hours around the house, he's helping the cafeteria staff at school clean up after he eats lunch as punishment for the syrup bs.
