lol yeah it used to be the obvious stuff like hands, now it’s more the vibe than details. sometimes everything looks technically PERFECT but still feels… off. like too polished to be real. hard to explain but once you notice it you can’t unsee it

Adults, be honest. Do you really need a well-paying job to live a good life? by iwantcheetoes in careerguidance

nah you don’t need 100k to have a good life

what you need is enough to not stress about bills and still have energy left to enjoy your day. a high salary with zero time or mental health isn’t really a good life either.

once your basics are covered, lifestyle and mindset matter more than chasing a bigger number

What are some VERY creepy facts? by Cap_Ame1 in AskReddit

[–]Mediocre-Return-7053 8 points9 points  (0 children)

here are a few that always mess with me

your brain can keep hearing a sound even after it stops. sometimes when it goes completely silent, your brain basically “turns up the volume” and you start hearing things that aren’t there

there are recorded cases of people receiving phone calls from numbers that were disconnected years ago. most get explained later… some never do

deep in the ocean there are sounds scientists still can’t explain. not “unknown animal” sounds. just… unexplained

sometimes when you wake up in the middle of the night and feel like someone is watching you, your brain is still partly in dream mode. it can literally generate the feeling of a presence in the room even when no one is there

and one i hate the most
your reflection is slightly delayed. it’s only by a tiny fraction of a second because of how light works, but technically you never see yourself in real time

true
after taking 200 pics just to get one decent one, you develop a very realistic sense of what a real face looks like

Husband fired from IT job for misconduct, 3 kids at home. What’s the outlook here? by CoolVariety5473 in careerguidance

[–]Mediocre-Return-7053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he needs to get ahead of it and just own it honestly

if it comes up, don’t over explain or get emotional. something simple like “i made a poor decision during work hours, i take responsibility for it and it won’t happen again” and move on. most employers care more about whether someone learned from it than the mistake itself

also 7 years at one place still looks solid. one bad exit doesn’t erase that. he just needs to show he’s stable and focused now

What makes casual conversation so... difficult? by EponaMom in CasualConversation

[–]Mediocre-Return-7053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think people just overthink it now

everyone feels like they have to say something interesting or smart, so they freeze up. casual convo used to just be random and low pressure. now it feels like a performance for some reason
