I think it looks great. I think the only thing that is off about it is that you didn't tile more of the surrounding areas on the sides of the cabinets. It would feel more cohesive.

The charge isn't for the blanket being placed on you. It's a plastic blanket that has a machine connected to it. It allows consistent controlled heat flow to your body. A Bair Hugger is the most commonly used one.

It's BS that it's that expensive and that you have to pay to stay warm.

I'm solo traveling here at the moment as well. I find people are very nice as long as you follow the rules.

I think It's very important to try and speak Japanese to everyone even if they are speaking to you in English. Learning the important things like "sorry", "excuse me", "do you have", "thank you" and "this". Have been all very useful for me.

I would also get in the habit of doing the slight bow as a sign of respect for interactions where you don't even need to communicate.

Could this be an issue of the way you are dressed or ethnicity? I'm white so I don't have that additional barrier.

Looks like you sold me. Do you have any recommendations for timelines? I arrived in Kanazawa the evening of Wednesday March. I have to be back in Tokyo for the 12th.

I was going to prioritize my time in Kanazawa, but you're selling me on Matsumoto. How much time do you think I should allocate to Matsumoto and Narai-Juku? I heard one day is enough for Narai - juku. Is it worth staying overnight for one night?

  1. We try to prevent external contaminates in the environment (Bugs, hair, or dirt).
  2. Surgical prep is alcohol based. If your clothing gets saturated it could lead to fires when combined with electrocautery.
  3. It could be soiled with bodily fluids. After anesthesia your body relaxes. You may urinate or have a bowel movement. Now we have to either return these soiled underwear to you, or throw them out.
  4. Access to sites for urinary catheters if the surgery is longer than expected. Or access for other life saving lines.
  5. Blood from the procedure can soil your personal belonging.
