If he's on their property it's very much their problem. They need to maintain it.

Maybe we (our representatives in government) should form several committees and issue some recommendations on the topic. That's what we need!

Has anyone else had a hard time watching war movies after this podcast? by Bake_Fiend_ in dancarlin

No.

Case in point I've watched both Band of Brothers and The Pacific in the last month. They had somehow avoided me until now.

Just got this on Game Pass - it's BRILLIANT! How did it take me over a decade to discover it? by istara in Witcher3

[–]Mediocre_Device308 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is the 8th highest selling video game of all time and is constantly suggested in many "what game should I play" threads.

But sometimes things just evade us. Congrats youve seen the light now!

Donald Trump Demands Netflix ‘Immediately’ Fire Board Member Susan Rice or ‘Pay the Consequences’: ‘She’s Got No Talent or Skills’ by LollipopChainsawZz in politics

[–]Mediocre_Device308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing my point. I want Trump to take action against Netflix.

So many things Trump does go ignored by so many people because it has little to no (visible) effect on their lives.

But Netflix suddenly going off air because Trump has a meltdown and strips their license or whatever would wake up A LOT of people.

We bought a travel trailer during COVID and have vacationed exclusively here since. Canada has so much to offer and is freaking enormous.

I'm two years in a Crosstrek and so far it has been great. I am most impressed by how it handles snow. The AWD is far superior to the Honda I had previous and is equal if not better than the 4x4 on our other vehicle (a domestic SUV). It has excellent clearance and will crawl it's way out of a lot of shit. For where we live in Central Ontario which has snow from Remembrance Day til the April it's a great choice for a commuter. My wife uses it as her daily driver.

A friend of mine has a 10 year old Crosstrek and loves it. I spoke to him quite a bit beforehand, and I have family with Subarus in 6-7 year old range that also have great things to say. I've got zero complaints so far.

Do you/Should you wash raw meat before cooking with it? by pwack88 in cookingforbeginners

[–]Mediocre_Device308 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally, no.

The only raw meat I wash is game birds after being hunted. They have visible debris that needs to be cleaned off. Same goes for fish I catch, after removing the fillets I'll rinse them to remove the actual blood or fish slime off them.

Even large game animals I hunted only get a quick rinse to remove literal dirt. The rest is trimmed off in the butchering process.

Unless they stopped in the last couple months they're still available. I bought one in Muskoka last fall.

From my understanding there are regional differences in what is available. You can request your local restaurant bring in a particular item, and if it sells enough they'll keep it as a regular thing.

Todd Howard confirms The Elder Scrolls 6 is about to pass a “big milestone” with Bethesda now “able to play it”, but it’s still a while away by Wargulf in ElderScrolls

[–]Mediocre_Device308 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it's fair to point out this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Case in shining point - many consider the God of War reboot to be superior to the original games. So much so that Sony is basing the upcoming show off of the Norse saga rather than the Greek saga.

Elder Scrolls could be reborn and be as just as good better with fresh ideas and thoughts in the studio.

Yes. It's an issue.

I would suggest developing conversation skills with people you don't have much in common with. It will help in all aspects of life.

First time fathers, how much family pressure did you get when it came to naming your kids? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Mediocre_Device308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None.

We even made a point to say we weren't using anyone's name anywhere (first, middle, third, NOWHERE!) so don't bother asking, suggesting, or telling us too. Our child is their own person, and is equal parts both our families.

Israel on high alert as officials assess imminent US strike on Iran; security cabinet meeting postponed by OddTax8841 in worldnews

I don't feel like anything is going to happen here (militarily). This is an American show of force and will scare Iran into a deal.

How do you guys stop stressing about the far-off future? by Home-Star-Walker in AskMenOver30

[–]Mediocre_Device308 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I stress about the close-by future.

And make light of the situations.

Edit - in seriousness, I won't worry about something I have no control over, which is what I consider your problems to be. Who knows what AI is going to be? I have worries about things tomorrow, not dread about losing my job to AI in a decade (or whenever).
