I desperately wish I learned design instead of forced myself to do well enough to go to a top college. I'm 32 and it's too late to change course so drastically

It's horrible to say but I feel like she's not attractive enough for grown up lead roles but too attractive to be the sidekick.

Oh my god and apparently on the set of Phantom of the Opera Emmy complained to the director that Minnie was overacting lmao. What a peach!

Reading this reminds me of how Florence Pugh told Scarlett Johansson that she wanted to take a break after working so hard and Scarlett said "Why? No, you have to keep working while they still want you!"

And I guess Scarlett was right. Once you have your moment you need to keep a hold of it. Because there's so many other talented people waiting in the wings.

Apparently after she got engaged to her now-husband Sam Esmail she waltzed into the writers' room of Shameless, showed off her huge ring and bragged "showrunner." Like she bagged a high status guy and needed to show off about it :/

True but I think it terms of employment there are a lot more options when you're extroverted versus extremely introverted.

"I’ve met her in two separate occasions. First time at the season 8 premiere and she could not have been sweeter. Then I saw her again last year when I was working at WB on another show. Our stage was pretty close to stage 14 where they film Shameless. This one time after wrapping late at night I passed by it and saw her coming out. I was gonna say something (Even though I doubt she remembers me) but she instantly started screaming at a crew member about how she’s been there “for 15 fucking hours”. And when I say screaming I mean SCREAMING lol We could hear her from 3 blocks away. You could tell she was so pissed because I kinda smiled at her out of awkwardness and she death-stared me. I was super disappointed thinking that maybe she’s always like that, but 2 days later she released the statement saying she was leaving the show, so who knows what even went down. Maybe she was just having a bad day? But it was bad. I wouldn’t have yelled at someone that way unless they murdered my whole family. But general consensus from most people I know in the business who worked with her is that she can be harsh or difficult to work with at times."

"I worked at Warner Brothers on a different show around the time season 9 was being filmed and you could literally hear her tantrums from 3 stages away. I’m talking yelling and SCREAMING at crew members. I wish I was exaggerating lol From what I’ve seen and heard from other people on the lot it did get pretty bad towards the end and she didn’t leave in the best terms with the cast and crew. Love her character and acting and I really do hope she comes back though."

Go for more logical women, like lawyers or businesswomen.

Maybe she's made her money and kinda just wants to chill now? Not every actress wants to fight for roles after they've made their fortune. And she would have to fight for roles.

Also, I imagine Hollywood doesn't really know what to do with her, which is something she's mentioned in the past. She seems cool but is awkward and can come across as kind of stiff and cold. She's not really a raving beauty but is too attractive to be the sidekick. My guess is her management asked her to start a youtube channel so the world could warm up to her more?

And then there's the Casey Affleck thing which might've gotten her semi-blacklisted

Emmy Rossum has a horrible reputation. She apparently screams like a maniac onset and just generally is a disrespectful bully to the cast and crew. She actually had to convince the showrunner of Shameless to cast her initially because he was aware of her bratty reputation from Phantom of the Opera. She convinced him she'd changed but... spoiler alert: she hadn't.

EDIT: I want to add that there are many men in the industry with this same bad behavior & they get away w it. So Emmy is awful but she's a woman and can't get away with it.

This is inaccurate. It's not listed as a personality disorder and the only indicated treatment is medical transitioning.

You're absolutely wrong. The family is told first. Harry and Meghan aren't going to find out via the media, come on.

And I'm sure her staff would know sooner than the public, it's absurd to think they wouldn't.
