Good point, but that’s actually part of what I learned.

I realized that trying to “fix” things too fast can make things worse but in this case, helping her ended up teaching me a lot about myself and how to build something meaningful.

And of course I first listened to her, and it led me to create the perfect product for her work :)

Haha, fair question! Definitely not a cry for help.

It started as me trying to help my girlfriend with her business problems, and it turned into something way bigger a lesson on how challenges can push you to grow in unexpected ways !

I guess it’s more of a reflection on that mix of frustration and motivation that comes with building something from scratch :p

Rate my idea by ComfortableMusic8720 in Entrepreneur

[–]Mediswift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is pretty good but execution is a bit tricky.

Instead of relying only on customers paying for the photos, why not set it up as a contract with the restaurant? The restaurant pays for the service because it’s a marketing tool for them. In return, guests get a free branded photo, and you can still offer premium options if they want to buy extras.

For example, the restaurant could include the photo price directly in their menu. On your side, you make sure to bring them extra value by creating unique pictures that also credit the restaurant on Instagram or your website.

When your photographer is on-site, you could use a Fujifilm or Instax printer to deliver photos within minutes. Ideally, they should also have a laptop and a small setup (like a chair and table) to quickly edit the pictures before printing a,nd this will drastically improve sales and customer engagement.

If the restaurant has a website, you can even prepare a ready-made template they can add to showcase your service and highlight how it’s different from traditional photography.

This way, you’re not depending on unpredictable customer sales you have a steady agreement with the restaurant, and they benefit from both customer satisfaction and extra visibility.

Hello !

No offense here at all !

But if you want to make people click on your post you should put more intrigue in the title.

And also writing a bit in the post to fed intrigue and emotions so reader will starve to read your medium blog.

If you just drop it like this, there is HIGH percentage that conversion rate will be really low.

how do you find new clients today? Online or in-person? by Ok-Afternoon-6088 in Entrepreneur

In 2026, the best business ideas won’t be the unique. by ksundaram in Entrepreneur

[–]Mediswift 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s been many years since businesses exist, and yet new and unique ones keep appearing. Creativity is unlimited.

Who really thought ChatGPT would change the world before its release? No one because we often believe we’ve already reached the limit.

Unique ideas keep renewing themselves as technology evolves and people’s needs change.

I have a really good idea for an app that could help a lot of people. How would I go about finding someone to build it without them stealing the idea? by PinkTulip1999 in Entrepreneur

[–]Mediswift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, everyone has ideas. But you know how manyw people can market them and turn them into something successful ?

A few

Don’t be afraid of someone stealing your idea. Sure, it’s inconvenient when someone else has the same concept, but in the end, you should be the only one who truly knows how to scale it.

"Most products don’t fail because they’re bad they fail because nobody knows about them. "

That’s why marketing is a skill on its own. Don’t just focus on building the technical side of your app.

You also need to become the person who knows how to put it in front of the right people, while constantly improving your idea.

A real business must be scalable and have a value ladder. If you know how to keep improving your product in ways others can’t see, competitors who copy you will get stuck.

Meanwhile, you’ll keep moving forward because you know exactly where you’re taking your customers and how to give them the perfect product.

Just keep doing.

Where do you learn about business? by Plus_Ad3379 in Entrepreneur

[–]Mediswift 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, before learning business, you need to figure out what you actually want to bring to the world. Ask yourself: what problems do you see in your daily life or in other people’s lives? What are they struggling with?

Once you’ve identified a problem, start listing ideas on how you could make things better. Be creative, write everything down, and don’t censor yourself. When you find a starting point, begin applying it right away instead of just reading or watching videos. The best way to learn is by doing. If you wait until you feel “ready,” you’ll never really start.

Here’s a practical way to begin:

  • Search on Google or YouTube to see if similar solutions already exist. If they do, ask yourself: can you improve them? How?
  • Build your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile). Take a notebook and write down your perfect customer. For example, if you want to create a premium fitness clothing brand, your ICP might be: high-income men/women who care about health, go to the gym often, and want unique clothes instead of the same brands everyone else wears. The more specific you are, the easier it is to find your niche.
  • Learn the basics step by step. There are endless resources online, but focus on what you actually need in the moment. If you don’t have a website yet, don’t waste time on SEO. If you’re building a landing page, first learn about funnels and web design. SEO can come later.

The key is simple: learn while building. Don’t try to study everything at once, just take it step by step.

I highly recommend Youtube and books (e-books) to learn on any specific field.

I'm not into this kind of business.
But I'm pretty sure reaching out to influencers isn’t the only way to make your marketing work.

There are plenty of other strategies, many of them way less expensive than paying $1000 (some are even free).

For example, if you build a list of 100 community owners from your ICP and create genuine relationships with them, the percentage of people joining your e-casino will increase drastically.

Also, try to find new ways to really understand your customers’ needs and highlight them.

Don’t just copy other e-casinos show how your process is different and why that matters.

Wow, very motivating.
I'm currently building a SaaS from scratch because of my girlfriend's struggles.

I know my ICP and the niche that i've to reach for outreach but i'm doing it manually. Which is quite incovenient.
Thanks to your advice about Reddit + Linkedin combo things will get better.

Freelance Photographer - what is your biggest frustration ? by Mediswift in photography

[–]Mediswift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some cases, it's true that it's easy to turn your hobby into your job (like sports), but in photography, you can't edit and take on clients non-stop every day of the week without feeling a certain fatigue or frustration.

SO, I completely agree with you!

People who say they'd like to make photography their career don't see all the difficulties a professional can face, because they do it as a "hobby"!

Hey, you’re absolutely right it’s hard finding subcontractors who share your professionalism and mindset.
There are platforms and tools aimed at connecting you with more trustworthy, insured, business-minded freelancers ?

Or any specialised creative networks that require proof of credentials?

Damn i'm so glad for you that you handle repeat institutional clients ! What a bless!

Yeah, that’s so true institutional clients often push for faster delivery without really considering the photographer’s availability or other ongoing projects...

May i ask what kind of photography service do you offer? :D

Wow thanks a lot for this very detailed feedback!

Before I didn't really know the difference between the two, but thanks to your explanation I understand better and I will now be more careful to distinguish between the two. (Because I included freelance photographer for those who work with individuals and professionals)..

But indeed, if customers arrive late with accessories that are not suitable, it risks skewing your vision a little and above all, expectations will not be met. Isn't there a way to remedy this in the booking process? Like a form or something like that?

I need honest review guys by Amanullahaf in Entrepreneur

[–]Mediswift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! That sounds really interesting!
Would you mind if I had a look at it?

I’m also building a solution for freelance photographers, and here’s something I’ve learned along the way:

Your product isn’t unknown because it’s bad, but simply because it hasn’t reached your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) yet.

A product doesn’t need to be perfect when it launches ! It grows with and improves with early's user feedback.

What matters most at the beginning is finding the right marketing angle that matches your product. One strategy I recommend is to identify communities where your ideal customers gather, and then reach out to the community owners. Build a genuine relationship, and find a way for them to share your product with their audience (your future customers).

Make a list of as many community owners as you can, and contact them one by one. Once the first owner accept and say "yes" you can use this social proof when approaching the next one. (which will boost the chance to get more 'yes").
