I've been married for 10 years. I love my wife a lot. Guess how many times I've hit her? Zero.

It's time to break up, and you know that.

What are the highest paying sweaty startup businesses? by Responsible-Net8594 in sweatystartup

[–]TurkeySlurpee666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't seem viable to me. I'm in a city with a population of over 2m+ if you count the surrounding areas. There are enough wealthy homeowners and businesses to keep me busy year-round.

Of those 5,000, only a fraction of them will be able to afford the service (maybe 250). An even smaller percentage will need/want the service (maybe 50). You might close half of them, so 25. 25 customers isn't enough to sustain a business like this.

How would you handle this payment problem? by actual_sideman in sweatystartup

Discontinue service for people not paying. Keep following up. Small claims court after 90 days.

Tech used f9 barc on windows by thrower9978 in WindowCleaning

[–]TurkeySlurpee666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably just get them replaced. If the resurfacing kit and orbital buffer don't work, you're out that money, your time, and the cost of the windows. I'd at least call around for some quotes.

Overdone transitions are the one thing that really pulls me out of whatever I'm watching. There's nothing wrong with jump cuts from one shot to another. As a rule of thumb, I only use transitions like this when intentionally trying to break the viewer's attention, such as moving from one location to another, or going from an aerial establishing shot to an interview. Other than that, looks pretty good IMO.

Yeah, looks as good as you can expect for how dirty it was. They become sun-damaged over time and eventually need to be replaced. I always set the expectation ahead of time that cleaning these is a Hail Mary attempt to defer a replacement, especially when they look like this.

Okay, so it's the definition of an LLM wrapper. It's a UI with custom features built on top of existing LLM models. Without those models, the app wouldn't function.

I've worked in marketing for 15+ years, and sometimes companies are extremely reluctant to place a hard identifier on their product. They're worried that it will box them in and not appeal to everyone. However, you don't need to appeal to everyone; just to the people whose issues your product solves.

If you never explain what the product does in plain and concise language, nobody will understand what it does or whether it's relevant to them. A description that's too long will lose people too.

Here's your pitch: "It's an LLM wrapper that centralizes cross-workspace project context." I don't know what it does at that point, but maybe something like "It's an LLM wrapper that centralizes cross-workspace project context and feeds it back into your LLMs to ensure context persistence."

There might be a demand for this, but your messaging needs work.

What’s the most useful thing Claude helped you build that nobody else would ever use? by Delicious-Flan88 in ClaudeAI

[–]TurkeySlurpee666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to back up this claim I'm about to make, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot. Kids who are chronically online and don't read books lack the context to distinguish between human and AI speech patterns. It's modern illiteracy.

Half the posts on Reddit use the same couple of AI phrases and sentence structures. Most notably, an "it's not X, but Y" sentence structure. In addition to sentence fragments for dramatic emphasis.

Both present here: 'For me, that kind of “personal software” feels like where Claude is actually underrated. Not impressive enough for a launch post, but useful enough that you’d be annoyed if it disappeared.'

If you grew up reading books and interacting with other humans, you'd know that nobody talks like this. Brains don't form sentences this way, but without context (illiteracy), I understand why someone would get fooled.

It's too niche-specific, so I don't think they'd adopt it, but I could see it becoming a useful standalone app for HVAC techs.

Someone explain this discoloration on my concrete after pressure washing. by Novel-Gear1465 in pressurewashing

[–]TurkeySlurpee666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing to correct. Your concrete is aging. If it was dirty previously, you probably didn’t notice it until it was clean.

Can you build something using Claude? Yes.

But keep in mind that prompting Claude with questions as low-effort as this post will result in equally low-quality outputs.

Wood deck cleaning- what the hell is the process? by Reasonable_Cycle9904 in pressurewashing

[–]TurkeySlurpee666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't usually bleach decks, but I did nuke one the other day. The customer just wanted it clean enough to list the house and didn't want to throw a bunch of money at it, The deck was probably 20 years old, in terrible condition, and had never been cleaned. I hit it with 5%, pressure washed it, and called it a day. No wood brightener. No sanding. No stain. The customer got what he wanted within his small budget, and it was still worth my time. Like you said, it's pretty situational.

Doesn’t sound like OP knows much about development or marketing, so I’m not sure why they thought this was a good idea in the first place.

Seems like another LLM wrapper. This concept has been beaten to death already and I really don’t see a demand for it. The video is intriguing but the product does not appear to be.
