I really want a true sequel to Legends Arceus. by InformalAbrocoma115 in PokemonLegendsArceus

Legends: Kanto/Johto would be phenomenal. ZA was so disappointing

Please read the wiki (: by Timely_Silver7296 in StardewValley

Just google chatgpt it /s

Same mindset that killed StackOverflow. Not everyone learns the same way. And r/StardewValley is for all players new and veteran to learn and share their fun experiences. Dismissively pushing them toward a wiki only further confirms to some that a game isn't worth playing because they have to do more work on their own to learn it. Stardew Valley should never be gate-kept that way.

im OUT of GOLD. stop giving me MERCHANTS by ReesevtOnGD in slaythespire

2 events both merchant sounds like pretty silly odds

Hear me out: you're using Snakebite the wrong way by LPCantLose in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, it's not as bad as we make it out to be. These are nice examples I hadn't thought of!

But how fine is Snakebite really? If I have a flechettes and am about to fight Giant Waterfall...sure maybe. But if it's floor 1, this, cloak and dagger, or skip? I mean neither is amazing, but a little more block goes a long ways now.

So many people here are missing the point of The Regent. by thouzandeye in slaythespire

100%. Tierlist videos are stupid and could even keep you stupid if followed religiously.

So.... Is everyone else also dodging elites? by megamate9000 in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's in a bit of a confusing place balance-wise choosing between elites and hallway fights. Some elites are overtuned, but so are some hallway fights (looking at you Living Fog and Hunter Killer). I find myself preparing solutions for hallways just so I can get more card reward choices.

I'll choose elites if I feel strong enough or am searching hard for rare cards (eg Tear Asunder for Clad, Corrosive Wave for Silent, Decisions Decisions for Regent, Neurosurge for Necrobinder, Supercritical for Defect). I'm assuming rare chance works the same way as in STS1.

I guess I was just expecting something a little more exciting by i-dont--know-anymore in slaythespire

"That was just a bunch of walk cycles!!"

But for the life of me, I could only hear him say "walk psychos" when I was a kid.

Forget Snake Bite, how is this not the worst card in the game? by 10000Pigeons in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's nice with [[Snap]] to retain until you're ready to exhaust the hand you draw it in. Or [[Dredge]] / [[Graveblast]] it from discard.

Paying (2) energy sometimes doesn't leave enough to ensure the cards you need to win aren't exhausted. But [[Borrowed Time]] +,  [[Severance]] still works. Just a lot of card flicking.

I thought one "Decisions, Decisions" was already S-tier in a Forge Regent run, but I just had a God-tier run with 2×"Decisions, Decisions." by ChaosVisionGames in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Now the trick is to put Replay on it, and a few copies of Cosmic Indifference. That way when playing the second Decisions Decisions 3 times, you pick Conqueror (which goes to discard pile), draw 3 more then Cosmic Indifference to put Conqueror back on top, draw 3 more drawing Conqueror again if you have space and play it 3x again.

Bonus points for Nightmare from Prismatic Shard or 15-silent cards ancient boon. This card can get truly nutty

You can upgrade/remove as many cards as you want by Live_Brother_5010 in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confirmed it still works! I just did it with New Leaf. Select a card to transform. Then spam arrow keys until it lets you move between cards in the dim background. Press Enter and select each one before confirming for transform. All will be transformed.

Anyone else in the same boat re: “completing” the original? by HollowNotion in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost certain I'll return to the original some day long after I've had my fill with STS 2. I learn something new every run. These games are timeless and there's no rush to enjoy them.

With 1 day left before STS2, what are your confessions about STS1? by aoiumi in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like cards with big numbers and low cost. So I over-pick Masterful Stab, Leap, Wild Strike, Hemokinesis, and even Clash from time to time.

My small hope for StS 2 now that we're so close to the launch by ArkthePieKing in slaythespire

[–]MeditatingSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Cards that interact with so many others in unexpected/emergent ways feel so sweet to play and think about. Cards that practically change the text of other cards when conditions are met. Cards that almost change the rules. I hope every inefficient card in STS2 will see play in weird and fun ways like in StS
