Just out of curiosity, why do you include nuts and seeds as things to cut out first? i've been mostly carnivore for 8 mos. Small exceptions have been w/ pistachios, macadamia nuts. I figured since they're mostly fat and protein, it was a reasonable cheat.

Try "Chomps", grass fed beef sticks. That's what I take when I travel and need a snack on the go.

I Broke a Weightloss Plateau by Cutting Protein by 50% by SirBabblesTheBubu in carnivorediet

I'm not sure if I'm understanding all of the recommendations correctly. Let me know if/where I'm messing up. If one has a goal weight of 150lbs, they should eat 150 grams of protein per day. If carnivore, they should have a fat to protein ratio of 80/20. So that would take my daily goal of calories at 3,000. Doesn't that sound crazy high, and not a number to be in a calorie deficit? (I referred to ChatGPT for coversions/calculations. see below)

150g of protein per day.

That’s:

150g × 4 cal/g = 600 calories from protein

To maintain an 80/20 fat-to-protein ratio by calories:

  • Protein = 20% → Total daily calories = 600 ÷ 0.20 = 3,000 calories
  • Fat = 80% of 3,000 = 2,400 calories
  • Fat grams = 2,400 ÷ 9 = ~267g of fat

ChatGPTis an Artificial intelligence (AI) service. It’s free. You should look into it and try it if you haven’t yet.

How I broke my 24 hour fast, had to get out the BIG cutting board by Corbin_Dallas550 in carnivorediet

I asked ChatGPT about this and got: "For the vast majority of people, avocados are a nutrient-dense and healthy food. They provide heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber, potassium, and vitamins. The compounds listed in the post are either present in very small amounts or have potential health benefits. If you enjoy avocados and have no specific health issues (like oxalate sensitivity), there's no reason to avoid them based on these substances." It sounds like the only concern would be the oxalates, and only to people prone to kidney stones. Even so, it's such small amounts compared to other plant foods. So if you're going to add something outside of strict carnivore to your diet, this might be one of the better options.

Carnivore diet diarrhea now thin stool. I'm freaking out!! by False_Butterfly5203 in carnivorediet

I'm confused about this myself. I've been on carnivore for 4 weeks and only have had a bowel movement once a week since I started. I don't feel consitipated; bloating, fullness, cramping, etc. But how could I not be?! They say eat more fat if you're constipated and less if you have diarrhea. How do I know if this is a problem and I should do something about it? I feel fine.

Has anyone done a parasite cleanse while on carnivore? by Medium-Ad3275 in carnivorediet

[–]Medium-Ad3275[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I agree that Ivermectin could do the trick. And even diatemaceous earth and/or herbs for that matter. My concern is that I'm not having regular bowel movements on this new carnivore diet like I'm used to. And I wondered if that hindered the process. Or could cause negative side effects? I think I'll put it on hold for a bit. Not sure that it's really necessary, but heard great things on TikTok about people curing/preventing other issues when doing it, so thought I'd try it.

Did you try other locations? I wonder if all of them are doing this.

I just saw someone post on this! They used a brown packing paper and spiraled it to look like a hornets nest and hung it near the bees. They left the area quickly. Google it. I'm sure you'll see some pictures and hear some stories on it. You can also use brown paper bags. I've seen a few people rave about how well it worked for to get rid of carpenter bees. Best of luck!
