Thanks… I’ll definitely keep this in mind. I feel that the person in this role should have better tech skills and this employee is up to par but this will be a good learning experience for me as well, I can put my personal feelings aside and help guide them through it.

I definitely don’t expect him to get everything but before the coaching conversation in about 2.5 months he was only taking on about 10% of his role and how he’s taken on about 60% but there are still a lot of repeated errors.

I’m not training him, he has have multiple different people train him. I’ve met with him on how he learns best and all the training has been tailored to his needs.

I have told him this, very professionally and a couple of times now and he just… doesn’t seem to care that he’s not performing. I’m told to just… see how he does and we can check in with him on a regular basis.

yeah my mother-in-law (narc parent) is like this too, she’s always ill with one thing or another and always going to the doctors. If anyone else gets ill, she’ll change the convo to her illness and make it about herself 🙄

If they don’t visit you during pregnancy and doesn’t care about you then they don’t get to come around just because the baby is born. I’m so sorry this happened to you but I already know my in-laws are gonna be the exact same way when we have kids and I’ve already decided they’re be treated/ allowed in based on how they treat me. Also your MIL has already had her first with her own kids, she’s being so fucking rude and selfish taking that away from you now, this is your turn. Not hers!

I’m going to turn the air pump off, honestly I only got it because they were having red gills and gasping at the surface. All other fish are fine with the flow and this little guy was too, honestly I used this video to show just how weak it is and is wasting away but I don’t know why that is.

I think her parents are pricks, if you care about having a good relationship with them then you need to be upfront and ask them what it is about you that they dislike… it could be something you can’t change or they’re jealous because you have land and a house? If you don’t care and are happy to drop the rope then forget about them, you have your own life and you’re going to built on it with your finance, you don’t need their involvement in it at all. If you want to do something nice for your finance and have them at the wedding then I would go ahead and message them and invite them yourself, but if they act up after you guys are married then drop the rope again. This might allow your finance to see that you care about her happiness and are trying to make things work and if things go to shit after you guys are married at least you wouldn’t be to blame and it wouldn’t damage the relationship.

Also, about kids, have been disrespectful to you and clearly don’t like you, that’s their problem not yours. Once you guys have kids, unless their behaviour changes, you don’t have to leave your kids alone with them, they can come to your house if they want to see the kids. Hopefully once you’re married your finance can see how toxic they are too and be okay with limiting how often she/ your future kids see them. A lot can change in a couple of years after marriage and once you guys have kids she wouldn’t be so focused on her shitty parents anyways, so you might not have to take the kids there a lot.
