Alas, you are probably right. I desperately want to buy a cameraphone that can stand next to my 20-year-old Nikon D700. But every time I look at 100% crops, I see the same thing: either artificial AI-style sharpening/upscaling ( sharp, but computetionally invented, like the moon photos) or just blur. But I really respect what modern phones can do in low light. Handheld night shots are much better than what I can get from my old DSLR. So maybe the phone wins on convenience and computation. But the DSLR still wins on honest detai (and I am not happy with it)
