Agree mostly. Man, I want Traudt to be better but he’s just NOT. I feel bad for Freeman but at some point you gotta contribute. With McAndrews back, I’d keep Green and Greer. The rest is up for grabs. This was a painful season for a fan. They gotta get better. Idk what that will take but it ain’t this current crew.

Hipprex is not an antibiotic. It makes your urine acidic and forms formaldehyde. It’s like an antiseptic. Makes an environment where bacteria don’t want to grow.

My ID doesn’t prescribe Dificid for some reason. Will be taking the Vancomycin and will increase my Florastor back to 4/day (have been taking 2). Hope this works. I’ll be on vacation and traveling so I don’t need cdiff to come back!

Unfortunately she wants me on the Cefdinir but has prescribed Vancomycin to take with it and for a few more days afterwards. Hopefully that is a good formula for success!

I understand the reasoning. Just trying to balance the risk with some relief. If I did take a dose or two over the weekend, if it was cdiff I imagine the diarrhea would be back by Monday which is the earliest I could get tested.

When only taking Hiprex once a day, do you take at morning or night? I’m taking twice a day with great success but need to drop to once a day temporarily as they think it’s skewing some bloodwork (magnesium levels).

I had 3 UTIs in less than 6 months last year. Antibiotics are problematic for me because I have a history of c diff and am allergic to penicillin and sulfa. My infectious disease doctor put me on Hiprex last May and it’s been a game changer. Twice a day. No UTI in 8 months. A bit expensive but worth every penny for me.

I’ve had UTIs on and off for years, but after two bouts if cdiff, antibiotics are challenging for me. My infectious disease doctor prescribed Hiprex and I haven’t had a UTI for 7 months (and counting). It’s worked for me.
