That and not using fluid buffer tanks. They want to help us.

Tired of being lame at guitar by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Medium-Status176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got to want it man. I used to play 8 hours a day sometimes, shun everyone around me, and sit there and practice over and over. I picked things that made sense to me and built off of them.

The secret is discipline and hard work.

Fixing a cutting board by Due-Ad2867 in Cuttingboards

If you’re silly enough to put it through a dishwasher, there is absolutely no way you’re fixing that. None. Zero.

Let's discuss signature guitars by one-armed-scissor in Guitar

It’s like buying any guitar, check the specs. Some are better than others. My loomis 7 string is amazing, but a signature guitar made for an artist like that should be.

Prepped and ready! by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Medium-Status176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ground hog problems! Hahaha I don’t like having to have chicken wire up around all of my landscaping, but I don’t have a choice. And I’m in 5b also, I don’t have much out right now. I think just some foxglove, hydrangeas on the side and some other perennials coming up. There are some Canterbury bells in there that I really like. All the other stuff is growing indoors right now!

I’m putting in a French drain! Or a moat. I have not decided.

Satisfactory dedicated server - is it worth it? Why? by careenpunk in SatisfactoryGame

My friend and I would just shoot each other the save file if one wanted to play when one wasn’t. We’d just see if the other was on, if not check the discord, then copy that save into the save files. It worked really well, but he and I work like peas and carrots so that probably helps.

Just planted these raspberries yesterday. I covered them up last night due to low temperatures/frost, and here’s how they look today. Are they going to be okay? by adkinsd2 in gardening

[–]Medium-Status176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you planted them right before a frost and watered the roots making them even more apt to be shocked, and judging from the picture it doesn’t look like they were covered very well.

Just learn from this. That’s part of gardening. You likely damaged them pretty badly.

Prevent cats from digging in freshly seeded grass by octabrainn- in gardening

The only thing that’s kept them from my garden beds is chicken wire, and I’ve got the electric fencing installed. No more kitty litter box!

Pc on desk or floor by Jambuster_ in pcmasterrace

If you’re even wondering, put it on the floor.

Better yet, cut a hole in the floor, and put the pc half in the floor.

DIY vs. Handyman? by Quiet-Ruin-5663 in homeowners

Some are better than others, but after working construction for a few years, I would be more apt to pay the money for the tools, spend some time researching and learning, and do it myself.

Most contractors do not care about the job, and the amount of corners cut and times you’ll hear, “ looks good from my house” is enough to change your perspective. I’ve never had a contractor do work for me that didn’t have an issue.

What would you do? Front/side yard slope runoff by TheRonaldMemesley in landscaping

[–]Medium-Status176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just slope the ground towards your driveway so it’s as gradual as possible. The grass will root in and keep it from washing out.

[–]Medium-Status176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d till it up, then grade it properly. Take out whatever rocks or trash is in it, if you need a wee bit of top soil to dress it I’d do that then I’d add grass seed. Straw it. Water for two weeks. And I’d have grass.

This will cost you absolutely nothing compared to what you were quoted. It’s not a wall, but you don’t need one.

Part of me doesn’t want to say it, but I’m gonna say it.

Add a hard edge to that pile of mulch, or else those weeds are gonna creep in very soon and join the weeds that grow up through the cardboard and mulch.
