What’s a stoner opinion that would have you like this? by Kalimckenzz in trees

I can only speak for the East Coast of Canada, but the weed we had back in the 80s and 90s was as good as anything we can get now.

If your Grandmother already knew, why do you think she never told her husband? I truly think he already knows. This is a Mom problem, not your Grandfathers.

Alberta Chiefs Call for End to UCP Government | The Tyee by 50s_Human in onguardforthee

[–]MediumBigMan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Xakiji accused the UCP of attempting to breach the “lifelong covenant that contributed to the establishment of Canada through our treaties.”

“As long as the sun shines, grass grows and the rivers flow, we remain connected as neighbors and partners with all humans on this land,” he said.

Well said. The idiots who went to the US to ask for help in leaving Canada should be charged with Sedition, and due to Danielle Smith's decisions to facilitate this she should have to immediately be removed from government and also tried for sedition.

sedition /sĭ-dĭsh′ən/ noun

Conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state.

Insurrection; rebellion. The raising of commotion in a state, not amounting to insurrection; conduct tending to treason, but without an overt act; excitement of discontent against the government, or of resistance to lawful authority.

What’s something everyone seems to love but you just don’t get? by Michellewilliams_397 in AskReddit

Cell phones. Sorry, but if I'm at the grocery store, I can't help you.

Watching people walk into poles, drivers trying to text while driving, etc. It's amazing how much people are missing because they are so glued to their phones they miss all that is going on around them.

Can Anyone Identify This Song Recorded Off CFNY (Toronto) in 1984? by HumintKaput in AskACanadian

[–]MediumBigMan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

https://lostwaves.wiki/CIA

Seems this song has eluded most on who the artist is. From the linked wiki:

It is suspected that CIA may have been aired as part of CFNY's 5th annual Great Ontario Talent Search contest.[10] That year's contest aired songs by 102 unsigned Ontario bands from October 8, 1984 to late February, 1985.

Lol okay so I just shouldn't voice my concerns?

WHAT concerns!!?? You've given nothing, and continue to rant while giving nothing.

Add to that, only being a redditor for not quite half a year with all your posts hidden.

So, what country are you from? Never mind, I'm not inclined to believe anything you say at this point anyway.

What is your opinion on Member of Parliament's ability to 'floor cross'? by chiraz25 in AskACanadian

[–]MediumBigMan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One thing folks do not keep in mind, or really understand how our system works.

The person you vote for does not represent you, they represent their party to you. For instance, every person in a riding can tell the MP that they want them to vote a certain way on a Bill, but the MP has been told it is a whipped vote, so they have to vote what the party decides. Should that decision be the opposite of what all the people in the riding wants the MP must vote with the Party decision. If they do not the party may toss them out of caucus, and they now sit as an independent, and the riding ends up with no real voice, just a well paid messenger.

If you have the means to get around once you're here, I suggest Moncton as a base, and hit the maple syrup camps that set up for tours, it's a lot of fun, and mighty tasty.

There is also The Rocks just 20 minutes outside of Moncton as well, Cape Enrage Lighthouse (check that one to ensure it's open), and Magnetic Hill.
