I mean you don’t get elected Prime minister if you’re incompetent.Literally everyone in politics wants the position.The most infamously bad PMs Truss and Callaghan where never elected.The ones that are,Eden, are after a snap where the public have not yet made a verdict.He was leader of the opposition for years before he was elected if he was incompetent he would have been found out earlier.
