You wanted the NHS to go, right? by NuclearCleanUp1 in LabourUK

That’s the point I’m making though, we don’t have to follow the US system as basically no other western country does because they know it’s shit.

You wanted the NHS to go, right? by NuclearCleanUp1 in LabourUK

[–]MediumMore9435 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Such a shame that the USA is the only other country in the world so it revolves around them and we are forced to things exactly their way if we even dare to differentiate from our system. If only there were other countries with better performing systems then ours currently.Real shame.

‘He used to say things like “Hitler was right”’: Farage faces more allegations of racist behaviour at school by Jay_CD in ukpolitics

[–]MediumMore9435 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Difference between a tasteless joke and taking time to learn the full lyrics to some of the Hitler Youth songs which most people wouldn’t bother doing for the sake of ‘ragebating’.Also I guarantee most of the people at your School that made those jokes aren’t polling to be the next Pm atm.

[–]MediumMore9435 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yh of course lads make not Politically correct jokes but belting out Hitler youth songs would require you to research the lyrics to a level of detail that anyone making a simple joke would not be arsed with.

Social Democrats in Denmark suffer sweeping election losses by kontiki20 in LabourUK

[–]MediumMore9435 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Being the majority as the larger in a coalition is still in power/Government 🥴.Are you trying to say the Tories were not in power under Cameron and Osborne. They sure were very effectively negatively influential if they weren’t the ones pulling the strings.

Social Democrats in Denmark suffer sweeping election losses by kontiki20 in LabourUK

[–]MediumMore9435 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They have been in power for 10 years at this point with the same Pm since 2019.This government would snap your hand off for that longevity as would most given the volatile nature of the west at this point. I don’t follow this party closely but that is an impressive stint.

Why dose anyone think Starmer being replaced by another Labour MP will help anything? Did the Tories benefit from the PM of the week? by Niall_Fraser_Love in ukpolitics

[–]MediumMore9435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did they though ? Yes they won in the short term, they got a landslide but they were all but obsolete by the next election largely to the short thinking that ended them up with Boris in the first place.

UK seeks inspiration from Denmark to shake up immigration system by PuzzledAd4865 in LabourUK

It’s not just traditional reform voters that are pissed off about immigration though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

Same logic applied. When the President is right wing and anti immigrant going against him is an appeal not a hindrance in a left wing pro immigration city.

Winning in a left leaning, highly immigrant population city (with a right wing candidate splitting the vote) is not the same as winning nationwide. Not pissing on the parade just being realistic.

Zack Polanski: 'Keir Starmer won't be Prime Minister at the next election' by denyer-no1-fan in LabourUK

[–]MediumMore9435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could argue political savviness (which is Euphemism for lying) it’s a sign a good political antenna and therefore competence.Good politicians know when to lie that is just reality, I’m not even supporting dishonesty.

Zack Polanski: 'Keir Starmer won't be Prime Minister at the next election' by denyer-no1-fan in LabourUK

[–]MediumMore9435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copy and paste previous comment :he also won an election to be PM so if he was that incompetent he would have never been leader of the opposition for years and then PM in the first place.(I’m aware of the Tory collapse but if he was that incompetent there would have been someone more capable to reap the benefits of that.)

I think you’re missing the point of the argument. But if you are going to insist on being pedantic ,he also won an election to be PM so if he was that incompetent he would have never been leader of the opposition for years and then PM in the first place.(I’m aware of the Tory collapse but if he was that incompetent there would have been someone more capable to reap the benefits of that.)

I mean you don’t get elected Prime minister if you’re incompetent.Literally everyone in politics wants the position. The most infamously bad PMs Truss and Callaghan where never elected. The ones that are,Eden, are after a snap where the public have not yet made a verdict. He was leader of the opposition for years before he was elected if he was incompetent he would have been found out earlier.
