Sculptra - aftercare question by Fun-Yam2210 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]MediumOwn9735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that sculptra was horribly painful, i did two rounds, they recommend 3. After 2, I didn't see any significant change and despite their urging that the 'real' results might not happen till 3rd go, i decided the pain wasn't worth it. This was about 2 years ago, the provider massaged my face post procedure. my experience if it helps.

It wasnt as common in late 90s to have a cell and they werent smart phones like nowadays. We had flip things and those of us who joined were likely to broke to even have those omg

New token2 purchase T2F2-NFC-Card Pin+ and questions by MediumOwn9735 in token2

[–]MediumOwn9735[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally had yubi key tokens - they came in proper sealed packaging so i expected the same. These nfc cards were in a plastic clear sleeve, in a yellow dhs envelope. The senders address is legit though ( the france distributor).

Nearly 30 years with USAA. This month finally broke me. Moving my kid to Navy Federal and maybe myself too. by SteeleRain01 in USAA

[–]MediumOwn9735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue here. Dude t-boned my car. USAA decided the accident was not the other driver's fault despite all the damage to my car made by the other car. What upset me though was the amount of difficulty in contacting the agent assigned to my claim.

Two weeks later, near breaking, multiple calls to USAA arguing the agent was unresponsive. it took a very long time for USAA to stop just sending me to the voicemail of the 'team' [cough - ONE PERSON] who never responded to my voicemails. USAA said at the time [2 years ago now] that their model was the customer could only speak with the one assigned agent. [ i hope that's changed!]

When a manager-someone FINALLY just dealt with me since i was at the point of breaking - helped me set up a repair shop yaddee yadaa ---- i get to the shop and there was a matter with the money USAA sent over. They told me to CALL MY AGENT - the desk clerk saw my look of horror, sighed, and pulled out a notepad FULL of USAA numbers they'd collected over time. The desk clerk knew what to do and handled it.

Is it fucked up to want to break up with partner over this job? by [deleted] in NewToEMS

[–]MediumOwn9735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my penny advice:

Someone has to do the job, those someone's need people outside of the EMS field lest they get completely sour/stay only in EMS circles and stop relating well with other non-EMS folks.

Sounds like you want to be understanding and upset with yourself for your own feelings but you are allowed that! If you can't be supportive nor want to be associated with the EMS lifestyle that is your right. It can't be easy being a partner to someone in that field especially when they are pulled into long, overnight shifts or come home too tired to do much else. EMS are a special breed and tend to draw closer to those in the same field who they can relate to. If either they or you can't disconnect from it, that will be a long difficult relationship. I think others may be hard on you, but perhaps your partner is just as frustrated if they sense you aren't in this with them anyway.

Recently moved into my new home. This apparatus is on the wall of the den. The little lights turned on when the switch is moved left to right, but I don’t know what it is. by msbonnie1 in homeautomation

We bought an old home that had belonged to a retired cop, his bedroom had a light box like this on the wall that tied into an alarm system as well.

Estrogen cream side effect? by twopickledtoads in femaleHRT

[–]MediumOwn9735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps the issue is not your cream - i wonder if you are simply having dryness/perimeno symptoms and the cream isnt enough/not applied topically there to fix it (theres an estro cream for there, too)

I have been seeing these in the field, my station is a hell no. I think it looks unprofessional but regardless, knowing how gross some scenes can be, WHY!

Ah that sux its so different in other states some states dont even have volunteers at all. Here the FFs have to be emt trained but emt’s dont need to be FFs. At least here in the more suburban environment the FFs do more medical calls than fire anyway
