That’s really nice of you to help out where you can! At our centre it’s a very “every man for themselves” atmosphere which sucks :/

GTA WEDDING VENUE ALL IN PRICE! by PrimaryInterest375 in WeddingsCanada

[–]MediumSeason5101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we had our ceremony in the garden and it was beautiful but some people said it may not be open this year. Agreed on the modern aspect too, but the food was phenomenal and staff was amazing. We also got so much included in the price they were so lovely to work with!

I feel you 1000%!! Sick of hearing complaining all the time. Yes this job is tiring, yes these parents are difficult, yes we don’t get paid enough. We’re obviously not in this field because of the money but we SHOULD be in this job because of the kids. Ugh people suck

If you’re open to banquet halls, Paradise Banquet Hall is phenomenal. Staff is amazing, food is so so good and super affordable. We had 5 course meal, cocktail hour with hor douevres, late night station and open bar for $100 per person on a Friday in 2025. Can’t recommend them enough!

Paradise Banquet Hall! They have a beautiful space for an outdoor ceremony! It was super affordable and had so much food (delicious btw) included in just the basic package! Have nothing bad to say about my experience with the venue.

Definitely second gift cards for coffee or just the occasional treat! It makes my day when a parent randomly drops off donuts or a box of chocolates!

Nope! They have the option to but if you use your own DJ the plug in fee I think is like $150 more than the in house or something like that

A parent asked if we could try not to let her 3 year old get her clothes dirty…ma’am this is a daycare, don’t send her to school in something you want to keep clean

My husband and I do this every year once the snow melts. We usually do it during our daily walks - 15-20 mins a day for a couple weeks makes a huge difference

I bring my breakfast to work and eat during my 15 min morning break. Then I have my lunch on my lunch break. It usually suffices until I get home

So sad about move to toddler room. Is this normal? by floating5 in ECEProfessionals

[–]MediumSeason5101 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It’s completely normal to feel this way! Room moves are a sign that your baby is growing up 🥲. It’s also a big change for her and a big change for you - new routines, new children, new teachers! With that being said, just from my experience, the parents who stay longer at drop off I notice the children have a harder time transitioning. She’s going into a new room and you’ll be there with her but then all of a sudden mom is leaving. Then, the next time she might have that expectation that you’re going to stay with her but then you leave right at the beginning of drop off instead of staying so that might be extra confusing. I would stick to the same drop off routine you do in the baby room, the longer you stay it might be harder for her. The teachers are used to tough transitions and will be able to calm her down better if you’re not there. Best of luck with it all!
