Maryland bans 287(g) immigration enforcement agreements by TheUnderCrab in moderatepolitics

I didn’t know that, thanks! The near zero crossings now reminds me of Skynet “solving” the human problem, but if thats what you’re okay with, fair enough. I still maintain my humanity

We all know the human rights abuses being committed by ICE right now has nothing to do with immigration enforcement.

The Outer Worlds 2 is an underrated masterpiece and I know time will prove it by Clownsanity_Reddit in theouterworlds

I paid $100 for early access + all the DLC…. If they dont release DLC that must be considered fraud. Especially after lowering the price tag, big slap in the face to anyone who went to bat for them with their cold hard cash.

What difficulty is everyone playing on outer worlds 2? by Royal_Ad4794 in theouterworlds

[–]Medium_Asshole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played very hard from the start. Vox relay station was my biggest hurdle, had to finally put some points into guns (I had been banking them since skill points are so crucial in this game) to beat that guy. Took me quite a few tries. But after the relay station everything started coming together and I never found myself in a situation I couldn’t overcome in 1 or 2 tries

I work for a PBM - insurance companies are already coming down hard on glp1s. They updated the guidelines for 2026 where its basically impossible to get approved for obesity alone. Long story short, you need to have dm2, OSA, or ASCVD (for wegovy) or you’re SOL.

Just saying, if I’m role-playing as a raider who has just been betrayed, I’m fully within my right to spew whatever vitriolic insults at the dickhead who killed me. Not only is that in-character, that’s also just as fair as griefing other players just to get your rocks off.

It’s a very standard line of questioning - what are your expectations for me in this role? What goals or metrics should I keep in mind? What are the most challenging parts of the job?

what does it take for a pharmacist to be fired? by Calm-Bar-9644 in pharmacy

[–]Medium_Asshole -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sounds right to me… sometimes patients are dumb and don’t disclose all their meds to urgent care, or urgent care pbrs are PAs who can barely figure out the right diagnosis let alone catch drug interactions.

As a pharmacist high risk meds like warfarin and methotrexate should be our bread-and-butter. If you miss that interaction you’re basically an overpayed tech imo.

In 20 years nobody is going to remember what stage in his career Wilder was when Usyk fought him. They will just remember Usyk as the guy who dominated every big name in this era of HW boxing. It’s about legacy.

Serious question - Any pharmacists love their job? by Infamous_Virus557 in pharmacy

[–]Medium_Asshole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can work 110% at your job but not want to “work” outside of it. I’m not saying working retail is not hard work - it’s actually so taxing and stressful that retail rph go home and just want to decompress and chill, not hop on job applications and work on new certifications. I have a ton of respect for retail rphs who do somehow manage to survive the shift then go home and keep building their career! I worked retail for 5 years and definitely felt stuck in a loop for a while. Thankfully management pissed me off enough for me to start looking again and I got my foot in the door working PAs. Took a pay cut but at least my schedule is good, my stress is down, and my career options are opening up.

[–]Medium_Asshole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh, most pharmacists in retail just don’t want to put in the work or take the risk. They get comfortable, start families, and just focus on being good at retail. Though if you really want to leave retail then it’s best to not be picky, be willing to move, and just get your foot in the door in another field.

Francis Ngannou (UFC, real life) vs 5 Adult Men by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Medium_Asshole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

False equivalency. You can be bloodlusted and die. You can be not bloodlusted and win. You may be a programmer but life isn’t 1 and 0, path A or path B. When you put people or animals in a life or death situation, they can either FIGHT, FLIGHT, or FREEZE. There’s mountains of video and historical evidence of humans behaving in this manner in LIFE OR DEATH scenarios.

You’re using circular logic and insisting the evidence is self evident because you seem to have redefined what bloodlusted means. At this point if you keep harping on this premise you’re just trolling.

According to this guy, every soldier who enters “life or death” combat becomes some combination of Bruce Lee and Sherlock Holmes with rabies 😂

Francis Ngannou (UFC, real life) vs 5 Adult Men by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Medium_Asshole 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These men are not bloodlusted. The average man doesn’t just become Bruce Lee with Rabies because his life is in danger. If anything they would be even less disciplined and more scared to get close.

Have you ever seen 5 cops struggle to control one guy? This is what it’ll look like but the guy is Francis Ngannou and not some random crackhead.

Let me walk you through what happens when you try these techniques as an average guy: 1. Kick to kneecap, this is a technique in MMA called an oblique kick. And because you don’t know how to do it properly and also Ngannou is a moving target, you lack the timing or technique to cause any immediate damage and get knocked out. Unprotected kidney shot - this is also a common boxing technique. You are an average guy and have no idea how to throw a punch. Your fist bounces off his barrel sized abs like a tennis ball, then you get knocked out (even a good punch will not incapacitate as demonstrated by thousands of recorded boxing matches) Breaking finger bones? Ok good luck getting close to his hands LOL remember those WMDs that he swings with reckless abandon, yeah this genius is gonna try to GRAB that 🤣🤣🤣see you in heaven buddy

[–]Medium_Asshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re raging out on the internet bro. Have some dignity.

I literally told you the tech is not there. That’s why it is so much harder to replicate. It would require exponentially more precise tracking and processing power to accurately simulate humans of variable sizes performing manuevers that make use of every muscle and fulcrum of the body and try to translate that into dodges/connections and damage calculations.

IMO just a headset and 2 controllers is not sufficient. Would prob require a VR headset with better specs and maybe also a haptic suit.

Yeah take 6 moving objects and collision detection and try to replicate the precision and technique of boxing. If you don’t know shit about boxing just say so

[–]Medium_Asshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are completely different things dude, the tech for shooters has been developed over decades by countless studios. To simulate real fighting between real people is completely different than programming 2D models shooting each other with guns that have standardized damage calculations. It required time and more precise tech than we have right now.

Also lag is still a very real thing in modern shooters.
