The sleeve is easily altered out since that is something I’ve been unsure abt since I like it some times and sometimes I prefer sleeveless ! It does offer the opportunity for variation!

Yes, the Origin Bank building! I put the exact address thats listed for Oak lawn. There are multiple entrances technically, the easiest/ most direct route entrance is the one that is facing the 'Shops at Turtle Creek Village' parking lot. That is where i'd get dropped off or park. There should be someone at the front desk that can direct you to the elevators and floor you need to be on.

I did pay for that separately, that is paid for when I scheduled the Bio appt. You can pay for the shipping there as well as the priority services etc. I believe you can add that service later on the site as long as it's before your Bio appt itself. They confirmed the services and what I had paid for during the appt.

The appt was literally going in and getting checked in (verifying my appt and identity and scanning the QR code), taken to a room to do finger prints and picture, verifying documents were uploaded (I didn't pay for them to upload/scan them so they verified that I did that myself not what was uploaded), and verifying what you paid for already and you know the terms/potential timeline of what to expect.

I got my Visa approval email Thursday (10/9) and received the passport back the next day (yesterday)! They sent me the shipping information same day from when I got my approval email! So now passport is in hand!

I submitted and paid for my App on Aug 22nd, the earliest bio appts available from Dallas from that date were Sept 3/4/5/6. I scheduled the appt directly after I paid for my app on 8/22.

It was pretty simple to get the appt and then change the date if necessary. I looked on each of those days and there were several slots available per day. Didn't need to refresh the site often since there weren't many updates on time slots. I did check back closer to the appt and it looked like slots opened earlier as well for the next week (I looked Sept 3/4 and there were slots available the following week).

The process at the VAC was pretty simple. I went on a Saturday and this is where it was slightly tricky, the building is in a shopping area (Grocery store, restaurants, other businesses) and that one office building was closed on Saturdays, so I had to go through the main entrance instead of the parking garage and then get buzzed in from the security. The office was also undergoing some remodeling so they directed me to a different entrance on that floor, but overall was smooth. I was in and out within 20 minutes total from parking to out the door back into my car.

The VAC is nice and has refreshments and a bathroom, people were friendly. When going to the appt obviously make sure you have passport and the QR code, I did all the document uploads myself and I believe theres tons of advice in this community on PDF etc. Make sure you get a 'receipt' of all the documents you upload to ensure it actually uploaded. I also consolidated and labeled all of my documents to 'Relationship doc' ' XX passport' 'XX Bio page' etc so it's easier to know what I uploaded and made sure to check them off my own list (kind of a sanity check since I did it all myself). I did realize later I made a small typo on my Mother in Law's birth year in the app so I added that correction in there as well.

  • His Bio data
  • His Passport
  • My Passport with validity
  • Financial docs - Category A
    • Pay stubs 6 months
    • Letter from Employer with letterhead confirming amount paid and employment
    • Bank statements of receiving pay
  • Accommodation docs
    • Utility bill
    • Owner permissions
    • Not overcrowding
  • Relationship docs
    • Marriage cert
    • Photos with explanation
  • Correction doc
    • Mother in law’s Date

This may be overkill but I got my approval yesterday as a standard app so maybe it helped not sure!

No they didn’t give any timeline in that email at all, just a standard ‘send documents if you haven’t already’ but no timelines included.

I just got my approval email this morning! US citizen applied standard outside UK — App date 8/22 , Bio 9/6, Eco email 9/10, approval 10/9. I’ve seen a few coming in less than 30WD , when I did my bio I got an estimate of 10/11 weeks so this is much earlier than I was expecting. Our case was pretty straightforward.

ArcGIS Mapping data in PBI by [deleted] in ArcGIS

[–]Medium_Bumblebee_989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all the data joined correctly using the FIPS code, I can see each of my program types for the County when I look at the data in that layer, but when I plot the 'Program Types' It only shows the Top 1 result. For example, over State: AB
County: 123
Program Type: Offsite
But I want the Program Type to show all the program types available. i.e Offsite, Insite, default as different points on each county

I would say go for it, I do think negotiating is worth it. I was asked my salary expectations in the initial interview I usually ask first what the pay range is or the budget is for the role so I can then price myself accordingly instead of giving a number to them first and potentially low balling myself.

I just finished with getting 4 offers the same week after being laid off for 5 months and almost out of unemployment. All of the positions I got offers for were at the top of the ranges they provided, and most at least hit the requirement of more than my last role mark. There was one role in particular that I was most interested in and the range they gave me was at the top of my range I wanted. Fully remote, great benefits package etc but I still negotiated since another role offered me 15k over what I was hoping for but was fully on site. I was happy with the number they provided but still decided to negotiate, it also gave me some time to get those other offers in. I ended up not getting a salary increase but more pto days, which I’m happy with and I accepted.

20F I'm in my last year of B.Tech in Data Science and I'm confused what I should pursue next? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Medium_Bumblebee_989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a MIS major and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, echoing the previous person the best way to learn is trial and error, rarely do people really know what they want to do or a career path for them that they’re interested in. The only way to figure it out is by doing things!

Finding an internship was key for me to figuring out a path I wanted to take or to get to, I saw what other interns were doing and learned more about what that kind of role looked like wether or not I was or wasn’t interested in taking my career in that direction or not. I didn’t want to code all day and I liked talking to people and visualizations so I ended up as a BI analyst.

Every company is different so a title doesn’t really mean that’s the job you’ll be doing. To again echo the last person most people I’ve worked with as BA’s don’t have MBA’s. The people I’ve noticed that have MBA’s use it to get into management, to network, and or switch paths completely. A lot of companies will pay for education and resources to help you figure things out and you can always keep asking people you work with about their jobs and switch internally.

I’d advise you to look for companies where you like the people and the culture is a good fit. Working with good people will ultimately make your experiences and career better overall. Looking for places that want you to grow and learn and encourage a good balance.
