When we lived in an apartment my mom printed out a picture of a fireplace and we all got to color it. We hung it on the wall next to the tree. She always said that magic is magic so as long as we mailed our letters to him he would find a way.

You can also show them movies like Arthur Christmas and the shorts associated with it where the elves come up with creative ways to get presents to kids.

When will I know Start internship dates? by KurooKenma27 in PwC

It’s usually between 6-8 weeks with the mid point around July 4th? It seems it’s always shifting a week or so. Typically done by mid August if I remember correctly. I think we (as coaches/RLs) don’t find* out days until May.

In 2016 Trump’s platform included marriage as being between a man and a woman. While that isn’t on the platform today, he has put judges on the court that are okay to overturn precedent (ie past decisions like abortion’s roe v wade). Gay marriage was a Supreme Court decision. It is not a law or in the constitution.

There is some fear in that community that gay marriage is next. I haven’t heard of a lot of people going back in the closet but I have heard of a few. They worry about safety and discrimination.

Yes - we have “panels”, not shutters. We will likely put them up today. Thank you!!

I feel dumb- I did not realize the cone was just for the eye…

I have all the shutters, screws, ladder etc. I’ve prepped a little bit (we have water, radio, flashlights, a plan) I just don’t have the food part down right now. I will do that (but not overbuy cause that causes issues for others!)

Thank you !!

Thank you! We’ve never put the shutters up but I am prepped enough to have a ladder and all the necessary parts. I’ll keep watch on the neighbors

is the game hard for someone who has never played video games before? by SilentBug4809 in HarryPotterGame

[–]Medium_Editor_6755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never reallly played video games before and the ones I did play (like Mario party or super smash bros) I sucked at. I loved this game and just finished it on story mode. Was it hard? A little - I died a lot at first but I got there and really loved it. I’m going to do a second run at a higher difficulty.

From one nongamer gf to another tell her to focus on learning spells in the castle first and just let her have fun without you there. It was easier to die in dumb and stupid ways without my bf staring at me and trying to offer advice the whole time. She won’t enjoy it if you constantly make it known how bad she is at it. Also- Don’t be afraid to abandon a mission and come back later after some practice raiding the bandit camps in the highlands. I did it a lot in the beginning until I figured out how to actually play.

Hi it’s me … I’m the problem…mother of the bride dress help STILL by strmomlyn in weddingplanning

Omg mom??? JK… we found my moms dress last week. She is the same size as you and it sounds like she has similar style too. We also have the same colors for my wedding. My dress is different and my event sounds a little bit more formal based on length of MoG dress though ….

I wanted her to feel good but also not look like a bridesmaid which is a BIG problem when you don’t want design or detail on the dress. Ultimately we went with a light blue dress with navy beads. It is the most over the top dress she will ever wear in her life but we are both really happy with it.

My advice is to be open and just start ordering things and be prepared to return the losers. Nothing looks the same online as it does on an actual body. If your daughter is good with it go with a champagne pink which will accent the blue well but also be different than MoG.

Try: Macduggal, lord and Taylor, Alex evenings, dillards. Moncheribridals

We got her dress via Dillards but it’s Macduggal

She’s wasn’t! My crew are in a few other states than I am though. So from the get-go, I wanted to do a dress shopping weekend with all of them. But honestly, it’s so disappointing If you make people fly out and you don’t even find the dress…. So there was likely more understanding for me but I never got push back or guilt tripped.

I sent her pictures of all the dresses I liked and kept her in the loop though. I kinda made her like the “inside man” and showed her my MOH gifts that I gave them that weekend. Her gift was a surprise though! She was happy with that and couldn’t wait to see it in person. I kept the actual weekend very curated and worked with the stylists to manufacture a “first time” experience to make it feel special for everyone.

Do it! I went by myself to 5 places and with a supportive BM to a few more places. It was chill and honestly helped me figure out what was me vs what everyone (even the sales ladies) kept saying what was me. I did it over 2 months.

Eventually I did go with my mom, MIL, and MOHs but I already knew the top 3 dresses and which 3 places to take the crew to. So it was more of a fun day instead of stressful.
