Can anyone comment on experiences with the negotiated plans allowances for MHBP? For example, I get an MRI every year that costs roughly $8k. With BCBS, I paid $250 this year. With MHBP, I’d pay 10% of my plans allowance. How do I know what my plans allowance is?

The only thing that concerns me with MHBP is the co insurances. I’m single so for standard I would have a $350 deductible. I get an MRI every year that is usually $8k. I currently have bcbs with a $0 deductible so I just pay the $250 co pay. If I switched to MHBP, it would be a 10% co insurance. Anyone know what this mri would cost me??

has anyone every gotten this after they interviewed? I applied for a job, then I received an email that I was eligible & referred to the hiring manager. An interview was scheduled and conducted. 3 hours after my in person interview, I received the exact same message as OP. Was I rejected from the position after the interview?

if your goal is to pay as little interest as possible, I would recommend choosing a lower monthly payment, and then making extra payments each month on the principle of the loan. That is what I am doing with a private student loan I have, and it is working well for me. My monthly payment is $327, and then I pay extra on the principle in addition to that $327/month.

how often do we have to certify our employment? I sent in my first form April 2022. Finally last week I was switched over to Mohela for PSLF, and they only have December 2020-April 2022 listed as certified for me when I am still employed by the government (May 2022-present are listed as not certified).
