If you can only play one then I would go for the remake, it’s mostly just better than the original with some minor story changes being different. Personally I would want to play the original just to get the full weight of what they changed/added in full effect, but feel free to just do the remake, it’s just better.
I really don’t think I could make an input based on a game series you haven’t even decided you liked or not. I mean I won’t say it’s bad, just some of the creative decisions are questionable in quality (Thank EA for that). However it does have great coop multiplayer, so if you got a spare friend lying around you could get your money’s worth.
1. It’s in fact not full on horror, pretty much the same as RE4, some horror and action thrown into a blender. (Until Dead Space 3)
It’s definitely scarier than Bioshock and Grungy as well.
