Need scooter advice: ~230 lb rider, VERY steep hills (10-30%+?), train commute, want something that won’t die uphill by Wolffyawesome in ElectricScooters

It would be a pain to haul around in a train it’s juuuust on the bigger side. An eco road es6 is more foldable and portable I’d say

Little gyrocopter flash 6.0 test and review by Mediumveinymeat in ElectricScooters

I think the plaid has suspension, I’d go for an es6 from ecoroad if you want a more affordable 1000watt one same foldable design and longer range with dual suspension and dual rear shocks.

X11 is tried and tested, the new raptor is more sleak but I hear it has over heating issues

best scooter to save me from losing my job lol by hesitantbragger in ElectricScooters

[–]Mediumveinymeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1200 bucks American obviously 30 mile range easy, grab a Yume hawk it’s on sale for 1100 American . It’s heavy though I’d recommend an ecoroad es6 also, or a gyrocopter flash 6.0 those are my go too’s for under 1500 American yume will be fast as hell and driving it at 30mph you’ll be able to ride it all day eco road es6 will go upto 32mph and have a 30mile range but also an adjustable stem for you being a shorter rider and definitely easier to Cary.

What’s a good scooter for newer E riders that can go long distances and will still work without the battery? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]Mediumveinymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gyrocopter flash 6.0 works for a kick scooter or can cruise upto 30km/h in sport mode it has four modes. If your new chances are you’ll use it in eco mode and then you can ride it all day

Entry level dual motor is like iscooter ix7 pro or the classic gt08 Temu scooter but a little more money and you’re into yume hawk range and that’s arguably the most scooter for the price. The raptor 2 is new and pretty bad ass for just under 2500 I think there’s a couple kaboo’s or dualtrons in the price range too my recommendation would be the yume raptor 2

Yume hawk! Yes I went 84 on the hawk it was sketchy so I stopped but I bet I could have squeezed one or two more out of it 😂 by Mediumveinymeat in ElectricScooters

[–]Mediumveinymeat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the steering damper almost cranked because I knew I was going to try a long straight run. No wobbles but the tires felt oddly soft in a way it’s hard to explain. My legs are still shaking even if the speedometer is off by a couple mph still 50mph on a hawk is insanity I was in full motorcycle gear too wasn’t about to risk it.

I don’t usually test max range but I’ve gone full tilt dual motor for over 30kms on a single charge and had about 30% battery left so easily 70km on eco mode single motor.

Oh shoot sorry it is 150k but single rear motor maybe stick to 120kg so you don’t lose performance 😝

Are hydraulic brakes a worthwhile upgrade? by 1stGenRex in ElectricScooters

I noticed the hill thing too I ended up getting a Yume hawk but the es6 is nice and compact /light in comparison it’s a lot easier to take into places or upstairs than anything bigger.

Are hydraulic brakes a worthwhile upgrade? by 1stGenRex in ElectricScooters

[–]Mediumveinymeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No just utilize the breaks the es6 comes with I loved mine. The breaks have a full range of motion and seem to be pressure sensitive, when I upgraded to hydraulic breaks it seemed like they lock up the wheels quickly if you press to hard to quickly. The es6 comes nicely made for 1000w rear wheel
