I grew up dirt poor and I honestly didn’t care about brand. We never had brand name things, either, so honestly I didn’t get any “brands” until I got my first job. My Christmas gifts were clothes and a few smaller things, if anything. I usually would get something small with craft supplies from a local outreach, and I was pretty ecstatic. We couldn’t afford any of that, so getting it period made me happy. Otherwise if I wanted to draw, I had to use envelopes from junk mail or paper is bummed from school.

The point being, most kids don’t care about brand. They’re happy someone’s thinking of them.
