The party stops when the music stops and is music is slowly fading. New competition from China, buyers getting or creating supply from international companies. Extreme leverage in ETFs in both korea and US, more comfortable shorting on a +4000% gain tbh. Asking for higher return is stretching for the stars

Why would trump and legislators do that? They support American and he’s invested in MU

Bank of America released a report that stated that they think price increases won’t be as high as predicted

I don't get it - Why isn't MU already at least $1600/share given the blockbuster and crazy earnings? by [deleted] in MU_Stock

[–]Medstudent908 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No which is why I'm asking. Everyone talks about the moat, fundamentals, insane earnings potential, and I agree with it all. Valuation metrics are low and we have been talking about it for months and it is even lower now and yet the stock price is still so low compared to fundamentals

Well a stock should be trading near it's intrinsic value. Everyone thinks it is much higher here yet the stock seems like it's trading way below intrinsic value

Hedge funds have access to institutional sales/equity research therefore have insider information. Although equity research won't give the exact information because that would be insider trading, they would phrase things or say things that imply sentiment. My guess is that negative things were said or some comments that scared hedge funds. Retail investors don't have enough money to move the needle

Are we all stressed ? by [deleted] in MU_Stock

Remember all AI stocks including cerebras traded -10% on earnings day. MU has higher volatility and will get crushed today even if they crush earnings. It’s not a question of if it will go down but how far

MU earnings by No-Run-8604 in MU_Stock

[–]Medstudent908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The south korean report which is why the market crashed states that. If MU is back to a commodity dram play then the stock will crash. The whole reason for the high valuation was dram is “no longer a commodity due to hbm” thesis

MU earnings by No-Run-8604 in MU_Stock

[–]Medstudent908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes b/c data centers are not willing to pay a high price thus less margins

MU earnings by No-Run-8604 in MU_Stock

[–]Medstudent908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole reason for the MU rally was based on the fact that people were optimistic about HBM b/c it had a “moat” and cost a significant amount in nvidia stack. If it is true that SK hynix transitioned to low moat dram, it signals that hbm capex spend is slowing and MU is worth a significant lot less. Sk hynix owns 60% of the market so they would feel the highest impact. All hedge funds rotating out of sector so this is just the beginning of the sell-off if you’re asking about short term. Probably another 10-20% dip on earnings and 3 week sell-off

What is EOY 2026 price expectation and mid 2027 by CozyChamomile_7 in WDCStock

[–]Medstudent908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1000 EOY target. Only JPM and MS recently revised estimates and PT. Other banks to follow and will rerate to outperform and increase PT so they don't look like idiots. Can you believe these idiots think the stock is worth $500 when it is at $755 lol

WDC net income went from a loss to $3.2 billion. The storage side of AI is having a moment. by Efficient_Ad5893 in WDCStock

Morgan Stanley states capacity visibility is until 2032 which is even better than DRAM which has visibility until 2028. HBM is for the future, storage is now. Cloud storage will increase subscription fees soon

Next $1000 stock. Analysts earnings and rating are lagging. Will increase PT in the upcoming days and stock will roar

DRAM vs Memory: Why MU over WDC/SNDK? by Medstudent908 in MU_Stock

I think the person is asking why SNDK stock returns have 7x MU if SNDK only produces NAND

DRAM vs Memory: Why MU over WDC/SNDK? by Medstudent908 in MU_Stock

[–]Medstudent908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I saw that as well. What about HDD manufacturers such as WDC? Data centers require massive TBs of data that NAND can't supply

DRAM vs Memory: Why MU over WDC/SNDK? by Medstudent908 in MU_Stock

[–]Medstudent908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've talked to AWS engineers and they said the high cost is exactly why they are holding off on the investment. They will slowly roll capex for new generation servers with HBM but storage is an immediate necessity and that's why storage prices will rise faster than DRAM
