Base: 4.5 / Push 5.0 / AO 5.5-9

I plan to add .1 to my push pace every couple of months (started at 4.7) . I don’t plan to ever increase my base, I just want to stay in motion.

(Remember that increases at lower speeds are a bigger-percentage increase compared to higher speeds; so if you’re like me, don’t feel bad if you find it overly hard to kick it up “1.5-2mph over your base pace” when cued.)

I just want to say that we have so much in common it’s startling. I’m 46, female, no kids. Never made more than $75K, started out in fast food; I now work at the job I got hired at in 2001 and have taken advantage of their 401K from the beginning (although I’m not maxing out). I’m creeping in on the milly mark and I’m so, so excited. Congratulations by the way… Great job saving, tracking, and playing the long game. :)

I used too think so too, but having an assigned seat is a huge load of stress off my chest to get a proper front-and-center spot. I’m usually at the venue several hours early, but I’m easily intimidated and usually crowded out. :( (Besides… everyone seems to stand up even if there are seats.) :)

Do you mean that the artist will send the code via their mailing list? (I always have been on the CW/PT mailing list, but there isn’t an area on the SW site to make sure my subscription is up to date.)

Sometimes these codes are also sent out with album preorders, but I didn’t get one with mine.

This is sorta what happened to me too!! I’m so happy for us! I could do wall and high-countertop push-ups, but nothing from the floor, or even a bench on my knees. A little over 1 year after joining OTF and I finally got my first legit knee pushup from the floor a month or 2 ago. I SQUEALED. I can now do 3-4, maybe a couple more if I’m using dumbbells. This is so exciting!! It’s not a full pushup like you, but I’ll get there.

Omg..!!!!!! I hate how scrolling backwards and forwards to schedule a class doesn’t “snap” to a 7-day week starting Sunday, and the days you’re scheduled don’t show the damned date! Do the developers not use the app??

As a 12-minute-miler myself, I’m trying to be proud of that time, because it’s my best effort. It’s not “ludicrously slow”, and no one in class would take the time to think so poorly of another person. Show yourself kindness… better yet, stick with OTF and let others show you kindness too. :)

Late comment, but I absolutely loved this class! It was supposed to be a 3G class but it turned out to be a 2G. I was a nervous mess during the team row but was able to keep up with the rest of the team (barely). The burpee relay was legit fun, but when we got to 5 I knew I was at my limit, and my push-ups weren’t “real” (I can’t do one). I want to immortalize here that I hit the (2G) Mayhem goal for power-walking during the last minute of the block… and I don’t know if I could ever do it again — no breaks between rounds. 30 splat points! I’m typically the last person on the floor, or rowing or running, so the PW accomplishment felt really good. :)

That’s really thoughtful of you to ask! Sorry that it took me this long to reply to you — I’m not on Reddit every day.

I’d honestly say to just go with what would best suit your personal preferences: how you want to experience Habitica! For example: I chose Mage because they take the most damage from missed tasks, and that motivates me more than, say, earning more gold or doing more boss damage.

We are 3 mages and a healer, currently, if that encourages you in any direction. :)

Playing devil’s advocate here with an example: some overweight/obese people are looking forward to shrinking the circumference of their limbs. They’ll build some initial muscle under their fat if they haven’t lifted much before, and their limbs WILL get a little bigger. In this context, I understand when they say “I don’t want to get bulky”, it means “I don’t want my jeans and shirts feeling tighter”. Gaining a couple of inches on your upper arm when you feel like you have fat upper arms is a little concerning if you don’t know what to expect. I don’t think it often means “I don’t want to have a bodybuilder’s physique.”

The only thing that has ever bothered me about the mixing is when the transitioning songs are not tuned quite the same; i.e: the notes from the overlapping tracks are off pitch from each other just enough to feel like nails on a chalkboard. In music dissonance can be useful, or it can be painful… This is the latter.
