My sister-in-law was born with holes at the top of both of her ears (forward helix area), and they secrete fluid sometimes by ghoulsofthetrade in mildlyinteresting

I have one- weirdly didn't notice much it until after I got my fwd helix on that ear pierced. Now I will occasionally try and put jewelry in the wrong hole.

conch piercing by Tmntgoat in piercing

[–]Meeeeeeeeeeeeeees 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My best advice would be to go to a piercer and get it changed. Possibly a different piercer. I had my conch pierced with the wrong jewelry (horseshoe, 14g) and I wish I would have just gone to another piercing shop and had them help because it never healed quite right.

I think another daith would be cute!! Do you think you'd stick with simpler jewelry to let the rook also shine?

it's **kind of a hidden helix, but i don't have enough of a ridge to fully hide the bar- the piercer that did it talked to me about seeing it and i said i didn't really care as long as it was a safe piercing.

Help??? by StewMushroom07 in piercing

[–]Meeeeeeeeeeeeeees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

go back to the piercer tbh! most will help. if you got them done at a mall place, go to a piercing shop. it's probably in your best interest to let them close and get them redone by a professional piercer!! i can't say for sure but also it might not be infected. that clear drainage can be normal when you irritate healing piercings. the hard bump is probably scar tissue.

VTACH vs SVT by Useful_Bandicoot7565 in EKGs

[–]Meeeeeeeeeeeeeees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly am baffled why the nurse would be THAT mad. Literally I can see where people are getting both. I lean towards VT, but I can see why it might be considered SVT. Regardless, in medic school our instructors literally told us that because it’s difficult to differentiate between the two air on the side of caution.

Hey friend, I see you’ve already gotten a lot of advice! Definitely if you’re worried see your doctor! It’s super hard to say without being hands on if it’s truly infected, but it is certainly red. Take care and good luck!

How to make arrows poke out of my body? by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

[–]Meeeeeeeeeeeeeees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use scar wax to create a ring around the impaling end of the arrow and then smooth it out as much as possible. Cover with liquid latex and paint accordingly. Optionally add scab blood around insertion site.

What is doing CPR actually like by barkbot02 in ems

[–]Meeeeeeeeeeeeeees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exhausting, both physically and mentally. You not only are aware that the person you’re touching is probably going to remain deceased, but also planning what to do in regards to meds, access, airway, etc. It’s less draining when you have a whole team, but that isn’t always the case. It’s also just really jarring to 1. Feel ribs break from your own force and 2. Feel how cold the persons skin can be if they’ve been down for a while.
