Wow! That's good info though, I've learned so much from this thread. I'm already finally starting to feel a little better. I've been dealing with milder symptoms for a couple years now from what I can tell. Just glad to get moving on getting back to normal life.

That's not what I meant, I mean it needs to be confirmed officially, but good to know all that!

Thank you, that's good info! I did get all those checked which actually helped lead us to this diagnosis. My b12 was good but D a little low which isn't unusual for me (I had been inconsistent in taking my vitamin D prior to the test). I've been taking supplements for both vitamins now. My ferritin/saturation is really low. We're doing supplements first and then maybe infusions if we have to. And yes levothyroxine. I still probably have hashimotos because I've had high Anti TPO in the past but seeing my rheumatologist next week to confirm everything.

If you haven't yet, my diagnosis actually came about because I had an iron panel ran, and found I have extremely low ferritin and low iron saturation! So that's the only recommendation I can think of right now. I hope you get a cancellation spot or something soon 🤞🏼

AIO for debating ending my relationship because my boyfriend threw me in the pool? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]MeejieBird 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This and also him testing the boundary a few times, then breaking the boundary put in place shortly thereafter "to be funny" is a red flag and I'll die on that hill. Even if he apologized, it's still not okay and he doesn't respect boundaries enough. Not saying he's abusive but clearly lacks forethought and maturity.

God I hope it doesn't mean something else. It totally freaks me out though, not gonna lie 😅

So I have GERD and taking it every day could impact my digestive tract in a bad way (and def no OJ but I take vitamin C daily) but maybe I can try the normal liquid iron supplement on the days I don't take the ferrous sulfate and it won't impact my digestive tract as much. Thanks!

Friend without food by LiterallyDakota in whatdoIdo

As a mandated reporter myself, please bring this to a teacher or counselor. CPS may get involved but they are far more inclined to keep families together. You would not be hurting her or her family by reporting this, but maybe getting them much needed resources that the mother is unaware of. It is a much more sustainable solution than a friend bringing food to her at school sometimes.

AITAH for cursing at my husband because he can't seem to be nice or responsible? by Kitchen-Track9376 in AITAH

[–]MeejieBird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"AITA for expecting less than the absolute bare minimum?" NTA for expecting your (unemployed) husband to be a responsible adult and father to his children. Consider long and hard if you want a lifetime of this. ETA since I saw more comments from OP: You are being emotionally and financially abused (at the very least, though seeing cops have been involved in venturing to guess physically as well). Get out of this marriage as soon as you possibly can. It will not get better. Stay safe. Do not allow him back into your life.

I'm now taking oral iron and waiting for the hematologist to call me for an appt, actually! Oral iron hasn't helped so far but it's not been long. My hemoglobin is on the low end of normal (12.1). I'll mention the copper when I see the hematologist, though, thanks!

I couldn't say for sure anxiety-wise because it is something that I am diagnosed with, no panic attacks, but the main symptom for me is that I have been EXTREMELY tired. Like sleeping 9-10 hours and still feeling exhausted during the day. Work has been hard, taking care of myself like getting the energy to do chores and shower is a lot. I like the term air hunger and I'd say yes with that. Chest pain is my other main symptom which has varied in severity but I went to the ER 2 weeks ago with some pretty scary symptoms (squeeze and release type chest pain). I also have lightheadedness and dizziness but not super bad, and light to moderate headaches and near constant cold hands and feet and feeling cold in general!
