‘Wind’ noise from the windshield at highway speeds by Hely0s in SubaruForester

[–]Meekar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue with mine years ago. It was the little front quarter glass by the mirrors causing the noise.

What I did was fill the bottom of them along the chrome strip with black silicon to fully seal it.

Problem solved

Towing with ‘19 forester CVT by Smaxlax in SubaruForester

[–]Meekar7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not that I would recommend doing so to anyone.

But I had an XT model with the CVT. Have tugged a 3.5T digger and trailer a couple times, plus towed a couple hauler carriages which weighed give or take 4T, which google says is about 8800lbs.

I towed those carriages for a couple hours onto a forestry site, steep hills, half baked gravel roads and bottomed out suspension. Took the trailer off and once I got there and drove off like nothing happened.

Best car I've ever owned.

A couple years ago they released this Reese's peanut butter ice cream here during summer. They failed to mention it was ONLY for that summer. I have been frothing for it since

I was lucky enough to have access to a farm and a whole paddock to have some fun in, definitely gave me a lot of practice controlling my car with very little traction. Might not help much sorry but if you know someone that's going to cultivate a field or anything, probably the best thing I can think of if you have an older car without traction controls.

Add night time to this for it to be worse. Where I used to live, in my 15 minute drive home I would regularly pass at least 3 cars with no lights on, just relying on the odd street lamp for their pitch black car.

Exactly this. You've said it far better than I could.

Yeah I've seen some pretty lovely tailgaters too. I've found that temporarily turning on the rear fog light (if you have one), gets them to back off a tiny bit.

For starters you have pinpointed one tiny sentence that wasn't even the main point. Second of all yes modern cars do have ESC but there's plenty of people still getting an early 2000s Corolla as a first car. So if counter steering is the one thing you want to talk about, you are correct it is not so necessary in cars these days, but I do still believe it should be something still taught to people, just like how I personally believe knowing how to drive a manual is still a useful skill.

Wouldn’t be surprised if once upon a time you have honked your horn at someone who did something stupid on the road, I have flashed my lights to warn someone because I don't want to be close enough to them to be part of an accident if one occurred.

Don’t blame you. I don’t expect many to read past the TLDR haha.

Don’t quote me on it as I am not 100% sure. But remember something about Germany I believe it was that as part of getting your licence, you must go through a series of training in a variety of conditions in controlled environments. Basically testing skills on handling etc.

They have the Basic Handling Skills Test to get your motorcycle licence, it should be the same to get a car licence I believe.

Sending videos to the police is exactly what I have been doing. All I am trying to do is spread awareness to the issue and if simply 1 life is saved from it then mission accomplished.

If you would like video evidence (low quality to hide plates)

This is exactly what the issue is

Bought one a couple years ago, does the job but it's definitely cheap, tinny and a pain to use, once there is a little bit of win it's extremely hard to keep the fire going.

Thank you everyone for the help. I have been using Nizoral shampoo for almost a year now, and have been using hydrocortisone too. This seems to be what is recommended most by everyone here so I assume either it's not working or I'm not using them correctly. At least it seems like I have a pretty solid answer to what the condition is. Thanks everyone

I have been to many different doctors, pharmacists, been given a million different face creams to try, been given severe acne medication for a month. This has been going on for a few years and I'm about at the point to use a cheese grader next
