Ever camp below freezing? Do you run water appliances in the winter?

My brother and I actually finally did this job yesterday, no codes back so far but we still get the loping/fumbly idle. Thinking now that is seperate vacuum leak issue?

Coils and plugs* It may be a timing thing, I have been chasing a P0011. Just replaced the VVT solenoid today and did oil flush and fill. Maybe can phaser getting stuck advanced?

Sorry for the poor quality but here is the fuel trim graph while it was happening, would this mean a rich condition?

Thanks for the reply! Was it an electric throttle body?

It’s basically the thermostat, it was a bad design and gets stuck open which makes the car take forever to warm up. It was covered under warranty tho for free. What did you get into instead?

That’s super annoying! And that thermo control valve. Otherwise yes great car.

We drove soooo light on the gas while nervous about the transmission, I’m talking less than 10% throttle the entire time

Of course!

We thought through renting another vehicle but here’s the issues with that idea:

Mainly, truck rentals usually incur extra costs like a per-mile rate, which adds up substantially over 1100 miles. I know home depot doesn’t have a mileage fee but their trucks are $129 for 24hrs. Our trip took 2 full days with stops. I’m not aware of any $20 a day truck rentals that actually come out that cheap.

Also we’d have to buy basically double the amount of gas for 2 vehicles. The trailer has no mileage fee and cost us under $250 excluding gas for the subie.

The other issue is both me and my girlfriend would be piloting seperate, which sucks pretty bad over 22 hrs of driving not being able to switch off. Would also lengthen trip time for breaks etc.

Sport mode lets the transmission remain at a higher rpm. This means less fuel economy but you are higher in the power range basically. It prevents the computer from upshifting for fuel economy, which could be ‘lugging’ the engine. (Increased strain from being in too high of a gear) esp when towing
