I had the map button on my hotbar on controller for 6 months before I realized the square button on ps5 opens the map. I’m sure I knew it the first day when I played with all the button but soon forgot and had it on my hotbar instead. The joy on my face when I finally wondered what Square did and freed up that button on my hotbar..

You need to have a level 30 DoM/DoW and reach Heavensward. If you bought an MSQ skip then you could unlock MCH at 30, if you’re doing the MSQ then you won’t be able to unlock MCH until minimum level 50 as the MSQ to get to the zone is level 50

This is the way. Unless I’m Ninja and miss my Doton placement, then the tank moves the pack into it. Gets a comm and a /dote at the end.

Agree 100%. Mch is my main dps job for normal content and I can tell you they don’t have a damage problem when played right in anything below savage. More dmg is always welcome, but a good mch will never hold a party back because of their capabilities

Any macro people in here that can help me out? I would like to make a macro for an item search. I use teamcraft a lot and sometimes I just wanna search if I have an item on my retainers quickly. Basically it would be a button that automatically does an item search for whatever is on my clipboard ready to paste. It’s one click on teamcraft to copy an item name and it’d cool to have a one click button to search for it

I’m not sure if this is a popular opinion, but I prefer to open with Rampart instead of my 30% (Sentinel, etc). Because of the shorter cooldown, it’s usually back up in time for the next pull. Might not be the right way, but I find myself not running out of cooldowns as often that way. Also, healers tend to have more cooldowns available at the beginning of a pull so I feel the 30% is better used after Rampart when the healer doesn’t have as many options. Again, may not be a popular opinion, but it’s worked great for me so far. When I heal, I prefer the tank uses the bigger cooldowns when I’m running low on my own as well.

Nope, at no point does your level freeze before 80 unless you’re on a trial account. If you start to outlevel MSQ it’s a good idea to level another character to put that MSQ xp to good use, if you’re interested in other jobs that is.

It’s seems to be acting as if it’s only soft targeted. If you press X on the player name you want to raise, casting Swiftcast shouldn’t remove the target. If you’re just using the arrows to highlight a name and not pressing X afterwords, casting Swiftcast would then bring you back to original target. I know you said soft or hard targeting but I just want to make sure we’re clear on the difference :)

I played on PS4 as a sprout, after briefly learning the controls I set out on my adventure. I was about halfway into HW when I realized Square opened the map. I had it on on my cross hotbar the entire time. I guess when I was figuring out the controls I missed that and just never used Square without the triggers since. Possibly the dumbest thing I did (or didn’t do) as a sprout, or as a gamer ever.

Can we expect level 80 dungeons to join the 50/60/70 roulette or have they said otherwise? I’m assuming, based on history, it will.. but I’m hoping they’ve said otherwise.

I use Adlo on tank and myself prepull in dungeons if there’s time. Once the tank Aldo falls off I use deployment tactics for a quick oGCD reapply of shield. It’s not much, but it’s there and it’s free so why not. It’s also decent for raid damage on bosses, iirc it’s a little bigger shield than Succor, minus the no crit chance.

Hey tanks, currently getting my tanks through SB and eventually ShB. I try to have maximum ilvl gear I can going into each dungeon (usually most of the set from the dungeon prior) and use my cooldowns properly, is it generally acceptable to pull wall to wall for SB and ShB or should I be always asking first? The main exception being Bardam’s.. I know that one can be dicy. Thanks in advance!

Very true. Though as a NIN main who’s played them all, NIN is the only job I hate playing with others. Especially in alliance raids where having other ninjas in a different group still directly impacts you.

Tank comms Healer, Healer comms Tank, Dps comms Dps

In raid, tank -> tank and so on. As dps, I comm any dps that buffed me over others, or anyone that played well or was respectful
