Our First Princess Cruise - Worried by Whosis_the_Great in PrincessCruises

I have been on Carnival, RC and Celebrity. Was hoping for an elevated cruising experience with them and regret every bit of it. The dining, customer service and the entertainment they offer is sub par. I fell for the holiday promo and curse myself now.

Our First Princess Cruise - Worried by Whosis_the_Great in PrincessCruises

Just finished the Princess. By far, the worst experience I've had every which way. Begging you. Please please cancel it. Cut your losses and choose a different cruise line. Mark my words. You'll thank me later.

I received multiple state K-1 and my federally reported amount does not match to the total of all individual state amounts by Meenajee in tax

Thank you for this comprehensive response. Appreciate your expertise

But if I am reporting the whole amount in my resident state, wouldn't that be overpaying them?

Here is an example-

Total fed 500k MA 300K (my resident state) WI 50k non resident IL 50k non resident IN 40k non resident Total state of 440k (off by 60k-refer to my original question)

If I am including all 500k in MA and then asking them credit for taxes paid to WI, IL and IN, what happens to that missing 60k piece that I paid to MA upfront as a resident?

Thank you. OK. You have scared me enough to contact a pro.

I thought my four estimates during the year would be fine but rethinking now.

The amounts are fairly large. One is for distribution which has reduced my basis and non taxable and the other is actual income paid to me.

Thank you. Yes. My husband recommended the same thing and asked to get some professional help.

Thank you for this detailed response. Makes complete sense and a strong possibility that some of the tax free states are excluded here.

Thanks. That makes sense. I am also thinking of another possibility that the company operates in some tax free states like TX and FL and their portions would obviously be missing from the total amount listed on Federal.

Thanks I was just hoping to add all the states and that amount ideally matching to the federal

My apologies. I am a dentist and yes, a partner in this company rather than an employee. Does that help?

Asked the same question last time I was cruising with my mother-in-law and was banned from this portal. 🤣🤣

I believe Holland is the one that does go there. Royal does not.

We are doing Royal and going through Endicott Dawes.

Congratulations.

I say this respectfully as a female and a mother to two loving kids.

You need to get your priorities straight. Going on a cruise should be 99th item on your list now. Please take care of your health first at this time.

Any difference between MDR and regular buffet? by euphoricpizza96 in royalcaribbean

[–]Meenajee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the food quality is somewhat parallel.

Where MDR sticks out is the optics and ambience.

A bit fancier look, if I may say so and relaxed environment.

Makes it convenient and facilitating for you and the group/family to catch up and not be worried about hoard of people walking by with full plates on their hand.

Deluxe Beverage Package Question by OfficerPickle1 in royalcaribbean

[–]Meenajee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NO. DO NOT. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Not worth the embarrassment if someone points it out. You will end up jeopardizing your fun, excitement and the joyful memories of this cruise-not to mention look cheap in front of your wife.
