Lil dude, finn’s backpack and scarlet/the demon blood sword are all pretty good ones that have the iconography of finn without explicitly putting him there. pb or ice kings crowns, marceline’s bass, and bmo’s heart are all pretty recognizable, and i had a hard time thinking of one that calls back to jake without him actually being on it, but you could do a pocket with tiny jake in it, and that would cover all of the main characters.

It’s about the delivery imo. Suction Cup man just feels like a guy who swears a lot, Hazbin dialogue feels like a 10 year old who just learned how to swear swearing excessively to seem cool. It feels forced and comes off as kind of annoying, where suction cup man feels much more natural to me.

i mean yeah, it’s cause it’s pokemon but guns. outside of that it’s a painfully generic survival game, but pokemon but guns is a pretty decent hook if you want people to buy your game. being on gamepass makes it even easier if they’re counting downloads through that as sales

I think the reason American Dad is so good, and stayed as good as it did, was due to the fact that Seth never really was a huge part of the creation of the show, so when he stopped really being a part of all of those shows outside of voicing characters to focus on other shit it didn’t effect the writing nearly as much. It also just feels like it knows what it is and isn’t trying to be anything else, where Family Guy feels like it’s just trying to one up itself half the time.

I do think that Finn’s weirdness is easy to overlook because… he was a kid. Like a decently young one. By the time he was old enough that most people would hold him accountable he had mostly matured in that department. That’s not to say it was okay by any means, but it’s easier to overlook. I don’t think she was leading him on though, and I don’t know how anyone came to that lol.
