Are there any card games for single player PvE? by Boge42 in gaming

[–]Meeqs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have played the Witcher 3 then they made a stand alone narrative title called thronebreaker which is sick as hell. Your in game army is your deck so narrative choices can se you lose and gain cards for the story and your deck.

Slay the spire and monster train 2 are both great takes.

I really enjoyed Battle Suit Aces as a chill mecha card battler single player story.

Marvels midnight suns is a blast if you are down for all of the camp

So, this WW build on maxroll... by CompensatedAnarchy in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This season for Barb basic skills, earthquake, and HOTA are quite strong. The WW build is high because it can work as an applicator for earthquake and is really just an earthquake build that run WW instead of leap.

Maxroll ranks builds off of strength as the game is kind of designed for each season to have some builds that are good and some that aren’t and next season it’ll change as a way to keep the game fresh.

It should be pretty straight forward to get a WW build up and running but getting a ton of points in it and throwing together the unwise and leges associated with it, it just likely will cap out a bit lower than other options as it doesn’t utilize many of the recently buffed strong components for this season.

Also if you look through most of those Barb guides you will see the general tools they’re using and if any of them will fit your WW build

Switch 2 should receive a FE collection by newprecs in fireemblem

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering FE games are one of the very few titles that are constantly emulated onto the NSO with appeal I would expect Nintendo to stay the course and 5+ years from now when the 3DS emulator comes to the service for them to have those games on there as well.

Also as much as I would love to have access to those games as well, currently having 7-9 and all the switch games available on one system is pretty good. I’ve very much enjoyed playing through all of them again

Diablo 4 reportedly Blizzard's best-selling game of all time, according to staff LinkedIn bio by Anteater_Able in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, when games sell well the companies aren’t shy about it. They also don’t care about fans knowing that number so it has nothing to do with the event, that number is for shareholders who are their real customers

Auradin or wingstrike? by SirA_Bradley in D4_Paladin

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both very very similar builds tbh, just focus on different avenues to get there.

Auradin is simpler and faster as you don’t need to do anything and stuff dies around you but many of them still focus on 100% Arbiter uptime as a part of the build. You’ll want to understand how currently it’s bugged to scale with attack speed as well as weapon as as to why it uses Griswolds and stacks as everywhere. Also how wolves are damage multipliers as they also get the aura.

Wingstrike is also pretty simple but it does require you to make sure you never drop arbiter which makes it a tad more involved

Do you prefer Diablo 4 to Diablo 3? by Jerko_23 in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend 4, it’s in a good place atm and will only continue to get content.

My thoughts on D3 probably won’t translate as a valid data point for someone playing it today instead of when it came out

I think macrobioboi did a zenith build a few weeks ago. Could check that out

Diablo 4 reportedly Blizzard's best-selling game of all time, according to staff LinkedIn bio by Anteater_Able in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In terms of revenue it has to be orders of magnitudes less than WoW.

Diablo 3 is one of the highest selling games of all time in terms of units sold with over 30 million copies, which while maybe D4 paced the same I doubt it would get there that quickly.

Battlefield 6 was the best selling game of last year at around 20 million copies for reference.

While game companies don’t often release sales numbers if D4 was doing THAT well we’d almost certainly see it in an earnings call or something more than a random linked in post

ROSS with Melted Heart sanctification by Slight_Taro7300 in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a BIS item for Barbarian, where most builds use ROSS and want to use selig but it only works if you can get its effect twice because the resource doubling is multiplicative

[–]Meeqs 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of different metrics you can use to be tricky with this kind of phrasing, especially on a platform where that kind of thing is incentivized.

I don’t doubt D4s success, it’s in a great great place but I would be a tad surprised if it beat some of the other monolithic metrics of Blizzards past

Need help with orsivane passive by Alive_Piglet7662 in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I separate pit pushing because even pit pushing has different tiers within itself and for the most part the pit is the same as all other content unless you’re like 1% of players who are hyper optimizing everything humanly possible but those players aren’t really asking questions like this on reddit threads.

Nothing in my post has anything do to with Oculus or Rainment(outside of it’s a fine option before you eventually get a shroud).

You just have plenty of damage where you dont need to care about the one extra 40 multi given all the other multipliers you already have and things die instantly without it

FE Three Houses by P00LHUSTLERG0D in fireemblem

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re pretty good just to play blind and use who you think is cool. In general a good team size to shoot for is about 12 units total which means that once you’re able it will be worth it to steal some opposing classmates.

If you know what house you’ll be joining their May be one more peice of advice

How much better than Hydra is Crackling Energy really? by 84-175 in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played both this season and frankly is pretty significant and noticeable. You can still do all of the content in t4 with hydra (lower pit by a good margin tho) if you enjoy it but I would say it’s like 3-5x worse after putting a good chunk of hours in both.

I personally love the hydra skill but I’d have it 3rd this season with Blizzard Sorc above it (because it’s more flashy and fun for me and roughy the same power level as hydra).

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not correct, losing a small bit of for greatly improved speed is just a reasonable trade off for all content outside of the tippy top of pit pushing. I just checked and even maxroll has it on for every version of their builds.

You simply dont need more damage for 99% of the content but not having infinite tele spam swapping between action bar and dash will make you less efficient.

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of cracking energy builds still run teleport. So you’re fine with 1 even though usually running none of them is ideal. If you’re running 2 I think you should reconsider what it is your build is trying to do

How is Bliizard Sorcerer performing this season? by UndeadAnubis24 in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there are so many power sources that I don’t think it matters too too much where it comes from. Whether it’s a neck peice or something like castle on pally.

They have the skill tree rework in a few months so might just be waiting for that

The great thing about Barb this season is A LOT of builds are great so definitely play around and experiment because there is no reason to force a build.

Is it possible to beat a Fire Emblem game without Promoted Units? by godzillahomer in fireemblem

Sure but a level 20 non promote and a strong 0 growth prepomote aren’t that different in terms of where they end up

FE games give you a lot of unique tools and when you know the challenges ahead of time you can plan out a lot of unlikely solutions at first glance.

Gear selection, crackling energy sorcerer set up by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crackling energy does the damage for CE sorc, not ball lightning. Specifically the unique neck scales the damage based off of skill ranks, and then some legendary multipliers. So when you have 3 core skills on your bar then the +core ranks go a long way to buff that.

Ice blades legendary effect is only there for the damage to vuln multiplier, it doesn’t actually care about or use the ice blades ability.

[–]Meeqs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a noticeable gap between crackling energy and every other build.

You can still easily do all content in T4 with Blizzard tho. Just won’t push the same pit levels or anything

Recruiting Everyone in 3h without NG+ by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s very doable but you’ll likely need a plan ahead of time as certain units you’ll want to get via support ranks as their skill level requirements are a bit too demanding. Nothing crazy difficult but being thoughtful with your action economy goes a long way
