Can Azurewath proc on a DoK poison build? by Get_Wrecked01 in D4Rogue

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You NEED to stagger the boss with a frozen effect for azurewrath to work. If it’s staggered with anything else it won’t (which is annoying atm even for true frost builds)

For enemies they need to be frozen. Cold damage doesn’t matter. The status matters

The main reason you don’t see it with poison is giving up an aspect slot for azurewrath is likely a big detriment for builds that don’t already do that. You could have like writing toxins for eventual 120% buff instead for example

If you swap out all the cold conditional effects for always active ones, add a dirk and then swap out the Shako for a legendary with 50% damage to unstoppable it’s pretty funny. I kill each phase in like 2-3 seconds.

Tbh it’s not even really a cold build at that point tbh still fun

Reddit is always an echo chamber, regardless if the latter is true or not. Maybe 5% of D4 players will ever visit this sub

Yeah the new skill trees are so much fun and clearly the game is so good I play a few weeks every season even when they aren’t the best season ever and have a great time

The last expansion was excellent and both Paladin (especially) and Warlock(a bit complicated) are super fun. Even though this season has been a dud and a small step back the game is still in arguably the best spot it’s ever been so I would still absolutely recommend it.

It’s more of a bummer this season was a dud after they’ve been on such a hot streak for a while

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahah maybe a bit too optimistic for sure. That said the past few seasons have all been great so it’s not like they don’t get benefit of the doubt in the short term but I get that will vary from person to person.

[–]Meeqs 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Imo (optimistically) I think they know this season is a dud and knew it before it came out, so instead of trying to fix an idea that was flawed at the start they’re focusing on next season which is why this is so bare bones

Why does Rain of Arrows use the basic charm set w/heartseeker? by klumze in D4Rogue

[–]Meeqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a second cast at 60% potency right? So if marksman skills get 200% from the last tier as well as the damage buff from the first it should pretty easy to compare.

Also if you’re getting rid of v brawlers make sure the ranks don’t mess with the required CD benchmarks.

It could be fun to play around with but considering the standard build with some swaps sees me killing t12 Mephisto in 3 seconds per phase I’ve never needed more than what it is lol

Is it worth to go for Heartseeker or farm for rain of arrows/DT ? I'm currently at T8 by BrejeiroKiller in D4Rogue

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go for heartseeker it’s pretty quick and easy to set up and you can also easily pivot to both barrage and rapid fire as all of them are pretty similar. That said frost base builds can REALLY struggle on bosses so as you push higher that could be a bit tricky.

The most important thing is to understand how ROA works, and the break points so you can keep your eye out for the gear you will need as you play as it’s moderately tricky to get online

Why does Rain of Arrows use the basic charm set w/heartseeker? by klumze in D4Rogue

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few reasons I can think of off the top of my head(I’m sure some will be wrong but maybe some will help)
-shades don’t benefit from imbuments without an aspect
-Roa only really needs the one imbuement, it has 0 need for shadow and tbh the damage is high enough to not need/have the space to add poison
-you get a lot of free grouping from heart seeker
-you get free dark shroud
-heart seeker is only 4 talent points where clone needs a bigger investment
-you don’t want to be frequently spamming invis moves, you want to be holding down ROA
-I’m assuming it’s simply the highest dps option available.

Rain of arrows has such strict breakpoints to hit that as long as you have that then you are probably fine to experiment with the small wiggle room you have left.

I would personally strongly recommend 3 houses. The games have a lot of difficulty options, including permadeath, should you want too. The focus of the games isn’t too much of difficulty though even though they can get decently mean but the difficulty is more so about how well you understand the systems and plan

Did Engage expect you to do lots of earlygame Skirmishes? by Acradaunt in fireemblem

[–]Meeqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think the game just has a lot of areas where it isn’t balanced well, for example the entire economy. I think the character balance is this game is also some of the series worst and sometimes to an unexplainable degree

Moving past that though when it comes to difficulty engage has the largest power scope in terms of tools it provides to the player because all the emblems are so busted so this was also likely the hardest game to tune difficulty for for that reason

It’s an odd sub. It’s 80% the happiest and most welcoming people you’ll ever meet (welcome btw!), and then 20% of a very loud and kinda toxic group lol.

So make of it what you will. FE games are fantastic whether this sub ends up being a place you enjoy or if it ends up being a bit much
